The amount of pain those Hellblasters dealt on death was BRUTAL
yeah just overpowered

I feel robbed by the fact that Mubin doesn't have his own custom tyranid miniature.
A new Deathleaper esque Mubin Nid mini maybe?

The outcome of this game was decided when they decided to play on a board with absolutely zero hiding spots for monsters.
He could protect some of them but there aren't any boards that can protect all of them, best case is then to do threat overload. Otherwise you are just letting the enemy kill you piecemeal.
Stampede isn't a great Detachment, so it's an uphill struggle even if the map is advantageous.
I hate it when battles are decided in the army list phase or terrain setup.
This is why you always bring little bugs even in a stampede list
I felt nothing but pain at him never using the tyranofex ignore damage once per battle ability, should of used it to ignore the 6 melta
Is that a new stratagem or part of the New Codex abilities?
@@docktorcocktor9522 Codex.
The way the rules are written, you have to call it BEFORE the result of the attack is resolved. Totally useless as you may waste it on an attack which may have missed anyways.
@@AlainPilon
The attack isn't allocated to the *model* until it successfully wounds. You get to use it just before rolling a save.
@@AlainPilon yea the new damage 0 ability is vastly worse than the -1D
It is an absolute testament to yall's skill and talent as entertainers that I ALMOST thought Mubin had a chance after round 1 :D
It feels like when one member of the cast wants to run a meme list the other member doesn't get the memo. 1250(?) pts and Tycho opts for a 10man of Hellblasters? They're mean in 2k, I feel a little bad for Mubin having to face then at so critically low a point value.
Love seeing Mubin out there with his bugs but man, just from the lists I can tell how this games going to go and its going to be ROUGH for my boy.
Game over by the end of 1st Battle Round unfortunately .......Crusher Stampede fells more like a..... Casual Stroll
I beat crusher stampede nids with my sisters of battle the other day, (not saying to brag, just mentioning given how weak sisters are atm) with all but one of my opponent's units being T10+. The issue is the detachment rule is really easy to ignore if they only take monsters, because you can just focus fire them one at a time and ignore the crusher stampede rule since they're either uninjured or dead. Funny thing is sisters have the same rule and it doesn't work particularly well for them, but miracle dice is a far better army rule than shadow of the warp, and can help work around wounding harder targets. Crusher is definitely the weaker of the new detachments, honestly invasion fleet seems to be the strongest still.
@@captainweekend5276Battleshock is a joke in 10th edition. Most armies have 6-7 as their leadership stat, which means that it's actually less likely to fail than it is to succeed on them. That, combined with [Shadow in the Warp] to force enemy units to take a battleshock test once per battle means that their main ability doesn't really do anything most of the time. I've only seen it actually change the outcome of a battle once a x that was on "Play on Tabletop."
I nearly switched off with the exocrine and swarmlord both dying battle round 1, swarmlord wasn't even in space marines turn 😢 hellblasters are brutal
JT's comment about overwatching infernus marines was absolutely correct as they're not a threat at all.
that was a well played bait i'd say, pretty sure Mubin fell for it because he saw an opportunity to end his loosing streak, didn't care what they were as long as they'd die, obviously didn't work out too well for him
Every battle report with Tyranids in it I see just makes me sad: they dont seem to hold up.
Tycho: My dice have turned to ice
Me: FINALLY Winter is coming! :P LOL
tyrannofex shoulda blanked the 6 damage
>what a game it was incredibly close
No it wasn't. It was clear who's gonna win from the first turn if of the game
I am guessing whomever said that was only looking at the remaining models and not the score…
Just love your 40K in 40 minutes format - great to watch and great fun!
Man, those Hellblasters feel kinda OP.
granted the army is really built around them, lieutenant for the lethal hits and constant tactical doctrine. really is a center piece unit. Besides it was built for taking out big chunky things with little armor
@@Pallyk426 I think the most unreal combo I have found in the Space Marine index is a primaris lieutenant leading sternguard vets. Lieutenant adds lethal hits to the sternguard bolter's devastating wounds.
@@captaincoolbreeze9429 sustain hit synergies better with dev wound though cause anything that became lethal hit will not be dev wound.
@@captaincoolbreeze9429
That's actually anti synergy because lethal hits just bypass the wound roll, they don't make it a crit wound. I was disappointed too.
@@captaincoolbreeze9429lethal hits don’t count as critical wounds…
Feels like that even if the models themselves are tanky, any army with less than double digit units are extremely handicapped because a single one can just get alpha striked before it can do anything.
Maybe its more a flavor thing but i really feel like the "big monster stampede" detachment should be able to re-roll charges, or at least have a minumum charge of like 4 inches. Maybe thats unbalanced.
Edit: also from a mechanical point of view, I dont get why charges dont actually move the distance even if they fail. Just kind of wierd to have something go "im going to charge you" and then just scooby-doo in place.
From an older edition's explanation- they realize it's not actually a good idea, and fall back to where they started from.
@shadowmancy9183 the mental image of them just walking back to their starting position is just really game-y and funny. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense from a game feel perspective, imo, but I guess that's how it's been for some time.
I get it would be a "free move" since as far as I can tell there's no penalty for not charging, but it would just make more sense. I've not really played many wargames before- mostly just Tabletop RPGs- but even then it feels like wrong to just have a "nothing happens because you fail" element in something called a "charge".
@@BoisegangGaming Warmachine Mk. 2 had it pretty good- you'd declare the charge, move, then measure to see if you were in range to fight or not. Miss the charge in front of a gun line? Sucks to suck, hope you weren't too attached to that unit.
Yeah crusher stampede kinda sucks
Awesome Battle report! Why did mubin not negate the 6 wounds with 1 time ignore damage ability? also isnt there a strategem that could improve the defenses of the nids?
I love watching large models juggernaut around, and i especially love it when they explode.
Let me say, those Revenants Run models are sick! I just pledged to get some to proxy in for my Black Templars
Is it just me or hellblasters feel extremely points efficient?
Add a character like Azrael and an apothecary and it becomes even more crazy.
Yeah with bolter discipline a unit of ten can melt whatever you oath. I seem to remember something about plasma “not being anti everything” anymore but that is just wrong.
@@cupcakewithatophat1131 least Oath is being nerfed to no longer reroll Wound unless you're in the First Company detachment. and even then, only once per battle.
The 45 point nerf to tyrannofex's alongside the loss of -1 damage hurts me right in my soul. They're borderline unplayable now in a world where hauraspex cost 125 points.
When he said "It's Mubin time!" and then Mub'ed out all over the board to get his bugs killed I lost it.
Truly a moment of the time.
The dice did Mubin dirty in this fight, Tycho was eating up all the points while Mubin was on a point light diet :D
that piece of dirt in the dice tray irked me so much
rest was brilliant
Ohh, would be nice to have narrative game of Orks vs World Eaters?
You know, they really need a pay back for Yarrick!
Man those Hellblasters are brutal.
I respect Tycho for also knowing the best marines are pseudorenegade marines lol
Indeed!
Is no one gonna say anything about that kickass button up Tycho is wearing???
Ima get one bro.
It is great that you allow proxies. There are so many good options out there.
I'm surprised there is no rule for under half strength units disembarking from a transport needing to take a battle-shock test. They have a rule for repositioned units needing to take the battle-shock test if they were under half strength but weren't on the battlefield during the command phase.
I play Tyranids so seeing Mubin's Crusher squad is just absolutely beautiful and was a thrill to watch. I also got to give love to Tycho's Space Marines, though. I LOVE Tycho's Shadow Viper squad, such great work and detail, there.
Newer player, so I personally am going to be doing swarm tactics stuff this edition. but I always enjoy popping by on CZcams, and seeing the big bugs get let loose and get some space marine snacks.
I’m so curious to see the state of SM after the Codex release, it feels like the White Scars detachment is just gonna be the detachment for BA & SW and even some DA (Deathwing and Lion)
"You almost tongued my face Mubin!"

As a big fat party animal, I am in admiration of Tycho's jazzy hawaiian shirt!
"It's goo and lasers everywhere, that's 40k folks!". I love this guy!!! Not to mention the shirts he wears are straight fire...
I made it!!! The hive mind summoned me and I am pleased
They did the mash!... They did the monster mash..
They did the mash!.. They did the monster mash....
Ok, so i love your quality BatReps but playing Crusher Stampede with what... 1250 pts? on this board? I think, Mubin should get another try at 2k pts. on a decent map (Mubin, eat those Hellblasters in melee!!!). Also i belevie Mubin could'nt do the shadow in the warp 'cause at that time his Swarmlord was already gone and non of his other monsters has had that ability...
Maleceptor still has it

This game goes wild
Oath of the Moment seems tailor made to fight against these kinds of monster armies.
When he says he can’t make a save…I felt that.
I guess this confirms that Crusher Stampede is the worst detachment in the codex. I play 2 games (2000pts) so far with them just to make sure they were as bad as they look and yep. The detachment bonus never really matters and rarely kicks in. And I would have taken tankshock any times instead of that stupid charge.
I'm curious did you play with Tactical or Fixed objectives? because from my experience fixed seems to be the betterway to go with Crusher
@@MubinTalatiMakes sense. Unless you take some cheap swarms or a biovore, you can’t score signals or engage on all fronts with only 7 slow monsters.
Anyway this seems like a meme army, even with fixed secondaries. Going monsters only does not seem viable at all, specially against 10 hellblasters at 1200 points
A friend out in Hawaii tried it out for fun at 2k and slaughtered his opponent. No idea whether he took tactical or fixed, but he took some chaff units like Rippers to help with secondary scoring. His opinion is that it's pretty competitive, but takes a decent amount of thought to run well. If your opponent didn't overload on anti-monster, you have a decent shot by virtue of army construction.
@@shadowmancy9183 Not gonna lie but it sounds like your friend just lucked out on his opponent not taking enough high strength/damage weapons. The issue with crusher stampede is that if you build it like a normal list then you may as well go for invasion fleet. Getting +1 to hit for being damaged and +1 to wound for being under half sounds good until you realise just focus firing monsters completely counters the ability. The core issue is all the time you aren't injured, you don't have a detachment ability, and you only benefit when you're already disadvantaged. I think it's possible to do well with the detachment, but you're pretty much just gimping yourself compared to other options.
@@captainweekend5276 If I recall, he used a lot of small units. Carnifexes, exocrines, at least one haruspex, hive tyrant as warlord, psychophage, a tyrranofex, and then a bunch of chaff (I think it came out to around 400 points) via rippers and gaunts.
every mubin tyranid game i see, he gets bodied
Those marines look absolutely fantastic
i cant wait to see Tyranids kick some ass
You will wait forever
As silly as it sounds running a crusher stampede list is actually better on an invasion fleet detachment than the crusher stampede detachment. The fnp strat is massive for monster lists!
I do like too see a SM army that isn't just bloody Ultramarines. The Shadow Viper SMs look amazing, fantastic paint job.
Thanks!
I feel I need to add some Hellblasters to my SM army now.
Hey I was just wondering, I thought you couldn't overwatch during reinforcements step? Or am I wrong. I just need clarification lol, just wondering
Where is the table top terrain from for this battle report?
The terrain is from gamemat.eu. Great stuff!
I’ve seen you advertise them before love that setup
Thanks for the video
Is there a reason the hellblasters that were destroyed by the oversharge plasma guns didnt use the units "for the chapter" ability and shoot a second time?
Probably weren't any eligible targets since they melted that Exocrine.

The Mubin Phase!
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Mubin needs to get a 3d printed cast of his head so he can put it on the Norn Emmisary
Tycho plays a better Loyalist(?) list better than Steve!
Loving those space marine proxies I never liked the original ATV
When i fisrt use a strat does malign presence make that strat cost +1 CP even on its first use? Or is it only +1 CP all future uses? Had a debate with a freind who said it immediately makes it cost +1 CP even though the strat says "after an opponent uses a stratagem."
It does not cost 2 cp the first time.
After its used, so u use it and than it costs more
@@drewbg333He's still says it counts on the first use because that's how it work in the tournament scene. I think that's ridiculous but he is very sure it increases a strat by 1 immediately
@@HRMZuma as above it specifies after a stratagem is used. Just because tournament s are doing it doesn't mean it's correct.
Has Muben ever won a battle? This episode was just shooting fish in a barrel
You just know someone is taking 3 units of hellblasters with apothecaries and lieutenants to a tournament that unit is insanely powerful lmao
I would love to see a vanguard invasion detachment battle report. Will it ever happen?
Mubin trying to play bio-knights, little does he know...

I would love to see a series of the guys playing OnePageRules Grimdark Future or Fantasy
What a slaughter!
Would love for you guys to try some competitive list's would just really like to see your playstyles with "optimal" lists
What are conversion parts for tycho’s SM? They look incredible 😮❤
You can jump back into a transport while being charged? And it doesnt cost a cp?
It’s the Repulser special ability.
@alexmichel260 Oooh OK. I thought it was a stratagem

The Crusher Stampede is sadly not one of the strongest detachments, and there are other detachments that actually do 'Nid Kaiju spam better.
have we ever thought about battletech? it seems cool and might be suitable for shorter videos or smth. Don't know if you have anyone who plays in-studio as it is not super popular.
