His talent was so immense in the right ways he probably could have broken through in most eras of popular music. But history doesn't quite do him justice. The woman that shot Cooke, Franklin a black woman who managed the motel was actually a madam with a criminal record and the motel catered to prostitutes.

I have loved this very handsome and extremely talented man as long as I can remember. I revisited him again in the movie, One Night in Miami. The actor who played Sam was phenomenal. I was quite emotional towards the end. I didn't realize Sam's young son drowned in his pool and it sent Sam into a pretty dark place which is extremely understandable which may have lead to his extremely tragic and untimely death. I can only imagine what a bigger influence he would have been in the music industry if he had lived. He was a genius with a magical voice and looka of a fairytale prince. RIP Sam.
