Honestly this is the ONLY video that I could find on this subject “ how to fix the power folding mirror w211 facelift “...
BIG WELL DONE AND THANK YOU “!!!
This is exactly what I’ve been searching for. Thank you
Recently done mine after watching this video. My mirror was not folding by locking car. Though I needed not to remove the spring retaining washer but ended up doing so, was quite difficult to remove. But problem was a broken wire that I repaired and it’s working fine now.
Spring retaining washer I bought from eBay and size was 13mm.
this video has taught me one incredibly important lesson... the folding feature on my door mirrors are NEVER going to work again.
Mercedes benz makes some parts highly complicated so that such good videos get created.
Great video! This answers all of my questions.
Thanks you for this. Had to replace drivers mirror on 2008 e350. This another video helped. Appreciate it.
Thanks, very well done mate, it was a big help to me. many thanks.
Great video for the fix.
Thanks. My mirror just failed when i stopped for fuel😢
Great video. I just bought a secondhand E280 CDI which has this problem on driver’s door. My question though. Couldn’t you do this on the vehicle, without removing the door card?
It seems from watching you disassemble that you could remove everything but the part of the mirror attached to the door and still effect a repair on the problem part?
I found it easier to remove the mirror since I had not done this before.

Thanks Hallgeir,
It really is an excellent video and I understand why you did it that way. I'm just wondering if I could do it without taking the whole mirror assembly out, or the door card?
Thanks for quick reply
Knall bra video
Er man nødt til å ta av dør festet?
What size was the spring clip that you put on new when you took the mirror apart on the Mercedes wing mirror
13 or 14mm I think 🤔🤔
👏👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great video. Do you know what the motor part number is? My mirror was hit and the folding motor stopped working and there is no resistance when moving the housing by hand. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you, I m sorry but I dont have the part number. But if the mirror is hit, maybee the spring has snapt of
@@Chevyvan-freak thank you anyway. I'll strip it down at the weekend and check it out. 👍
i have a Question
i have a W211 but Station Wagon 2004
My Driver side mirror is Really Purple, Cant Almost see anything,
is there any fix possible ?
Or it needs Replacement?
I think that you have to replace the mirror glas. On the facelift [2007] I have you can bye and replays only the glas if That's broken. Good luck 👍👍👍
Where did you get the lock spring from? In Germany I wasn't able to purchase it separetly, it least not from Mercedes. They change ~300 Euros for the whole unit (which excludes the motor and the mirror glass itself)
I found it on ebay in UK. They had different sizes and I could order how many I wanted 👍👍
@@Chevyvan-freak Were that just regular ones or specific from Mercedes?
@@dannyd.9637, this is regulear spring, no Mercedes.
screws_city on ebay
@@Chevyvan-freak yes, thank you! Got that and found other shops, too -- strangely only in UK (and Asia). screws_city is a bit slow with delivery though. (albeit the name of the shop kind of compensates it, #LOL)
What is the last white plug for? The one that shows after removing the turn signal light. Thick plug with two wires. Don't think it's connected anywhere...?
You have one for the motor and one for the heat...
@@Chevyvan-freakNo, look at 5:13. there is a white plug inside the mirror as well
Well I don't remember but it is kable for motor, heat and turn signal. If it not fit enyver it can be for anoder option.
@@Chevyvan-freak yeah, had another look now, I see where it goes. All good, thanks!
Hi Hallgeir
I left you a message on Facebook, in which I gave more details about the mirror of a w211 in the hope that you will be able to help me.
Thanks.
