    This old guitar picker is impressed with the talent you display here! I played professionally for 40 years, off and on. Love your riffs and the finger picking! Personally, I use Dunlop .38MM picks, Dunlop finger and thumb picks for the "Chat Atkins" double pick style and, steel finger and thumb picks with a glass slide, tuned to (Thank you Keith Richards!) an open G chord. The addition of a Fire Engine Red Telecaster completed my "Gotta Have" list! Had a tough enough time talking the little Wife into a Custom Deluxe Les Paul for recording work! Had to buy her something of equal value LOL! I wrote her a blank check and told her "See ya when ya get back home: BIG MISTAKE! She bought a damned new Pick Up Truck...........................

The 70's Tele custom in sonic blue with rosewood board or the 60's in LPB--both of which are already available in the vintera line--would be much appreciated. I will most likely be buying the LPB one here just in case you never grace the road worn tele with rosewood. Oh, and phenomenal job on this gen of road worn, btw. I haven't owned nor wanted a strat since the 90's, but I am drooling over that firemist gold 60's road worn one.

    I’d like to get a clarification before I order the Lake Placid blue model. In this video, your colleague says it’s a thick “U” neck, but your and all the distributors’ websites say it is a slim “U” neck. What is the difference between them? According to the current pandemic situation I do not have the possibility to go to a store and give it a try.
    Thank you in advance for your time and help!

    • @m...6119
      @m...6119 Před 3 lety

      Hi Adam
      I played the 50’s Telecaster at my local dealer. Having owned quite a few different Telecasters with different necks, I can say that the new vintera road worn 50’s have BIG necks.
      1st fret measurement is easily 0.95, while 12 fret is 1”. Of course you may have slight variations due to the humans involved in the manufacturing process, but I won’t expect it to be that different from what I mentioned above.
      Hope this helps you.
      PS: I really prefer a fat neck, and this neck does it for me, in a good way of course. 😁

    From 0:45 - 0:55: where is that buzzy harmonic “tink tink” sound coming from?

    • @supermanwithsilvergun4679
      @supermanwithsilvergun4679 Před 3 lety

      Looks like from his palm muting. He is picking that open A power chord with an up stroke, and it could be that his palm is not fully muting the open a string--it might be ever so slightly back, creating a muted harmonic. As someone who started playing with brass saddles on a tele after having already played guitar for 25 years, I can say that there is definitely magic in those brass saddles and ash tray bridge that is not in any other type of guitar. That bridge with a thick slab of wood and very little paint on the body also creates amazing resonance for an electric guitar. I know this because I stripped the finish on my 15 year old MIM standard tele and replaced the bridge with the vintage one here.

    • @stockholm1752
      @stockholm1752 Před 3 lety

      @@supermanwithsilvergun4679 You’re probably right (let’s hope so). Interesting thoughts. My ‘78 Tele was for years in the same state as yours. When I finally decided to have it refinished, I bought a new bridge w/ brass, but ended up keeping the original 6 saddle because I was worried about intonation problems. Anyway, cheers.

    New fender american made, price is just ridicule. When i look to the vintera or road worm serie i'm like, by it now !!! Them i see ''made in mexico'' for a 1500+ guitar... Turn Off totaly It's a no buy. It's just a principe think. Probably a really good quality guitar. But not for me sry.

      @@KRAZEEIZATION now don't be insecure and insult people for having personal tastes. That's childish and only helps the world see the guitar player as a judgemental degenerate.
