This video hit me on a personal level...I'm no artist but this video hit my feed and graffiti has been a fascination of mine for some time so why not. Well my passion is fishing and end of '18 I broke my leg severely while fishing, as a result I recently lost my job with a company I gave 7 years too. Highs and lows...just like you said. It's now my time to progress to the next level and become better all around, you have to keep moving forward! Solid like from me!

I stopped because I never knew what I wanted to draw. I went from graffiti to cartoons to graffiti to realism etc. But when I was lost I always found my way back by knowing that " I don't have to stop here, I can do whatever I want (drawing) anytime I want".

My dad is a artist he work very very hard for 50 years and yes he has success but I saw from an early age what it takes to get there a lot of talent and even more long long hours and dedication... I'm a fool and started graffiti in 1985 until now the dumb part is I now what it takes and graffiti is a very difficult route because it's not that respected in the ,,real,, art world ..

The honesty and lack of ego here is refreshing.
I've personally let getting busted, alcohol, drugs and dealing basically replace my passion for art in general gradually throughout the past few years. There have been a few spurts of motivation and active painting in between but the overall result is not cool, man. Won't jinx it: this may be the year for an epic motivational comeback. Writing ignites something inside that cannot be replaced by all those distractions. B-)

I was doing a lot of things, spending money on my "passions" for example for being footballer, playing piano, drums, for downhill, but... I was always fail. Because of lazy, of being not brave enough... But now I spend my last money for 8 cans... When I watch your video and I fallow my favourite Polish artist who inspired me I feel... that I am not only existing, I am not waiting for tomarrow, for vacation, better time, whatever, I am LIVE . I am thinking that spending money from doing something is never A mistake, because when you are doping something, whatever it is, YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING, not only sitting and thinking ,,Nooo, it is too hard, i will lost my money..."
I am really thank you, because you give me power, inspiratin, motivation and what is the most important, you give me positive energy. You are awesome Doke.

I failed a lot of times in my art career but I'm always standing up again and try it again and again and apply new things and I feel how there's a constant rise to the top and I'm getting better every time I fail and try again. The highs are coming automatically when you don't stop and it feels so good to get better. Like Yoda says in the new star wars movie 'failure the best teacher is' and damn he's right😁

The light effects are awesome in this piece! Idk how to answer your question. I guess I just try new things all the time hoping to fail but I just end up not trying hard enough and feeling like I could have done better, maybe... the trick is to never compare your past to your future.

I’ve alway enjoy painting and draw since I was small but I always got discourage when I would ask my dad about becoming an artist when growing up, knowing that becoming an artist isn’t easy I always get discouraged and I didn’t practice as much. My dad worked hard to bring us to the United States so I always feel like I have to accomplish something where he would be proud of me I don’t want to disappoint. I’m currently practicing spray paint and I want to learn so badly that I don’t want to give this up like I’ve had in the past and it’s just hard to not let pressures of what you feel that people expect from you get to you. And as of female you don’t see many women in the graffiti/street art scene. It is intimidating.

Doke, I got to say I like your explanation of how you look at staying commited to painting. Been doing it since high school, 41 now and still love to paint. A lot of my crew went to doing tattoos. I lost my friend AGREE from Brooklyn in a dwi accident we were in. He was the best writer I've ever known. I'll never give up, a lot of it is for that reason. @DokeTV I love the piece and yes, I stop with art all the time. I'll try to do something, I'll get really frustrated with myself because I can't express myself through art the way I want to and then I quit before I even let myself get better at it. It's really iritating and I hate the anxiety that I always get when I try to do anything artistic even for myself. Ive been told I'm a good artist and all but I just can't seem to keep doing it as a constant variable in my schedule.

I've had the same problem for over a month now.. where I couldn't sketch/paint/edit and upload my previous video which I shot almost a month ago.. just felt not motivated to do anything.. even if I'd take my blackbook out I wouldn't be able to come out with anything new and just give up eventually... I'd then proceed to watch a tonne of movies and CZcams videos .. This sort of happens to me everyone once a year and it really sucks.... Well all this stopped yesterday when I forced myself to sketch out a piece.. Gonna hit up a wall tomorrow... This whole time I thought I was the only one who experienced these issues.. Good to know I'm not alone now..

5 years ago I was working a full time job and my fiance just finished going through 4 years of college while maintaining a job for herself as well. We have a son together so there wasn't a lot of extra time but since she graduated I figured it was my turn to do school for myself. I applied and was accepted into a school for game design. It wasn't a full month after I started school that me and my fiance separated due to her physically and emotionally abusive behavior since I didn't have enough extra time between full time work and full time stupid for her and our son. I did spend as much as I could with them but I needed to sleep at some point. After separating life became very much a struggle to find a home with internet access to do my school work and food was scarce. I continued through my school for another 2 months, but the trauma from our break up was too much to bare. Along with dealing with personal life I also had to deal with the harsh criticism of teachers and other students judging me for my art. I understand that not every piece was perfect but even the ones I was proud of got shot down which added to the despair I felt from my life at the time. I quit school and haven't touch or even attempted another art piece since then even though I dream of it every day and regret my decision to leave school.

This piece. I love it. I also want to keep on going on my artwork but sometimes I get just too depressed to do anything about it I love drawing but sometimes life is hard especially when you have a family I have my own little Studio. That I made at my house but because of my depression I can't keep going thanks for listening.

Art is not a win /loose thing. Your an artist, you do art, you create , your never totally happy with it, so you do more.. that's it.. nothing more,, as a artist it's the minutes, the hours you get lost in the art while creating, that is the reward.. once the peice is finished, it's a "I could do better" moment, and move on to the next one.. as long as you continue to create, you will progress. Tho, the ultimate question is,, who do you paint for?? Yourself,, or wanting others to like it?? Different strokes for different folks..

I've been creating graffiti art for 22 years and I still don't have a flawless style, so I would recommend anyone who wants to get into it not to give up at the first challenge of your abilities, practice your own style as well as other styles and make your style, you're not gonna just wake up one day and suddenly you're a regular King Robbo not gonna happen so take the time, experiment with different styles and colours and you'll see your style improve as you progress.

Really nice piece! Love the style. I almost stopped playing rocket league because I was stuck in silver for months, and even though it's such a trivial thing I pushed on and I'm doing pretty well in gold ii.

That’s some deep stuff there at 8:28 marker, some inspiration all in the video. I like how you really emphasized the feels one has. Keep grinding. I’ve recently got into your videos, very entertaining. 😎

I had bin drawing for 2 years and each Tim I get so close with markers or sum materials that I worked before an that line that fuck up all the work you did in an hour or even hours is not like it should have bin , it's all on the expectations that you set for your self and that kills me and I quit for a day then a week and then a hole month, that filing is terrible and so I got back and decided to do something new, so now I'm trying graffiti 👍
