In this video I'll go through the some of the more common terminology and features and how they might impact you and the work you may be doing. I'll also talk about belt tensioning and some common drill press problems and possible solutions.

Thank you for your very thorough tute. I was gifted the EXACT same drill press but mine had a diy table top added. Wanted to understand how to use or setup the vice in order to drill 2 holes into black conduit.

A lot of good info you provided. I noticed you use a c clamp to hold your vise to the table. I found that the step block set that you can get from places like harbor freigjt sell work really well for that function, the t nuts fit the slots perfectly and I am not limited in how I position the vise compared to when I was using a c clamp.
I'm a creature of habit and I have a lot of c clamps, ha ha. I will typically use what I have until a new and/or better solution comes along. Sounds like you may have provided me with just that! Thanks for the information, and thanks for watching!
