- THE BMW M3 TOURING posted an official and notarised lap time of 7 min. 35.060 sec on the 20.832-kilometres / 12.9 miles Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit.
On the version of the track traditionally used for comparison purposes - which is 20.600 kilometres / 12.8 miles in length (it doesn’t include the straight at section T13) the time was 7 min. 30.300 sec.
BMW M3 Touring:
Fuel consumption weighted combined in l/100km: 10.3 (WLTP), CO2 emissions weighted combined in g/km: 235 (WLTP). Provisional values.
Official data on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. Judging how it's 15 seconds slower than M4 CSL on Cup 2 R, I'd guess this lap was done on PS4S tyres (Correction, it is on Cup 2, meaning the gap between this to CSL is still rather large)
Also it's quicker than Model S Plaid, with less than half the hp
Just shows how bad the Plaid actually handles compared to a proper engineerd car.
It's 15 seconds slower because it's not a freaking CSL, tires have nothing to do with it. It's heavier and less focused, as it's supposed to be. Do you really think they would attempt a hot lap like this on a regular summer tire?
@@MyRealName umm tires have everything to do with it lol. if you throw a xdrive on the track with cup2s you'll be surprised how close you get to that csl. if you truly dont think so you are smoking something. Theres a reason they ahve only done the laps with ps4s on the xdrive and normal comps
the 1000+hp Plaid was slower down the straight lol.
@@chiemychiem7533 you’ll still be about 15 seconds off the csl’s official lap time (which had time left in it), tyres really arent everything, it’s about the whole package

Really impressive driving and dynamics on show. Low centre of gravity and the driver hardly used the brakes. Sadly the economy is on its knees and most disposable income is gone so we will live vicariously through CZcamsrs whilst we wait for macro market conditions to improve and funds for an M car or an AMG car to return. Entertaining video 👍
Facts, in USA especially in Europe with basic better wages atleast mfs can Live and build a shit box with prices in the US it’s super hard to get even a non M model of anything for a decent price thank god for CZcams and Assetto corsa 😂

When I was a kid the 997 GT3 RS was the ultimate track car. And knowing that the M3 Touring is just two seconds slower than that car makes me have a lot of respect for BMW and M👏

@@nappy5853 The RS3 isn’t a station wagon that offers lots of space and I’m an RS3 owner. RS3 is a compact car with little space compared to this station wagon, the trunk space is small as shit but my car is a sedan, wish they brung the Hatchback to America.

I expect it to be the same or a few seconds off the M3 but on a track that big slight differences in temp or track condition would make a few seconds difference either way.

Wie viel mechanischen Grip hat der M3 bitte?? Das ist ja irre wie der Teilweise extrem frühl Vollgas gibt und wie schnell der teilweise durch die Kurven fährt... der absolute Hammer. Mich würden mal die Reifen interessieren, die auf dem Auto drauf sind.
