- Today we bid farewell to the father of special forces, Col. Jan Breytenbach who funded the South African Special Forces in 1970 better known as the Racces.

The legacy of Colonel Breytenbach will never die,his grandson is a qualified serving Special Forces operator,the legacy continues.
RIP Oom Jan, fondly remembered as Umehlo-insimbi. "He was a man, take him for all in all, I shall not look upon his like again".

Yes he was a hero to many, he served his flag and country with courage and outstanding leadership. He had many medals. I suggest you get a mirror and ask yourself whether you could serve as he did. The answer will be no. You can rectify this by serving your own country and people, as Jan Breytenbach did. Denigrating a true warrior spirit on his passing is not a good idea for maintaining your health mentally and physically. Make amends or face Karma.
