Correct, you won't be able to stop in that area at all right now while they are doing construction. You might be able to catch a glimpse of it as you drive past, but there will be nowhere to pull off and park.
I am sad to hear about the closure of Uncle Tom's Trail. I have made the trip down and back quite a few times. It has been a tradition in my family that I was thinking of continuing this summer.
I used to feel that way every time I visited Yellowstone, but when I finally figured out the timing of when to be where, Yellowstone rarely feels super busy to me anymore, even in the middle of the summer! You'll find my timing recommendations here: www.dirtinmyshoes.com/yellowstone-itinerary/
In the middle of the summer it’s quite crowded, but if you understand where to go and when it’s not bad. I would recommend if you tend to get up early. Go somewhere significant early in the day (prior to 10 am at least). Then go to the “lesser” spots in mid day. Then you can also go to significant places again later in the day.
Great information and video! I also love your guide. Hoping to visit Yellowstone soon but probably not this year.
Thank you! I hope you're able to visit soon!
Hi Ash! Went to Yellowstone and got your three day itinerary. It was an amazing trip thanks for all the recommendations and tips!
Oh that's so great to hear! Thank you for letting me know!
Great information thanks for sharing. My favorite thing about Yellowstone is all its hikes and the views it has.
It's an incredible place!
Great information! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Going in 3 weeks, glad closures aren't too drastic!
Yeah, it should be a great season in Yellowstone!
We were just there and the Dunraven Pass is open. Drove up and over with no issue.
Yep! They got it open early this year. Just goes to show that things are always changing!
Yep, we drove it on Thursday the 16th. It had just opened that day.
Hey I am going to Yellowstone in September would the Beartooth highway be open in middle of September
It should be!
HI Ash, we are going to yellowstone soon are you saying we can't see the Lewis falls as of July 2024? thanks in advance.

What time of year is 191 open, connecting Grand Teton and Yellowstone? Thanks.
It usually opens sometime during the second week of May.
@@DirtInMyShoes When does it usually close?
Usually around mid late October. Could be later or earlier depending on weather of course.
I’m staying at Chico Hot Springs, what’s the best entrance for Yellowstone based on my location? Thank you!
North Entrance via Gardiner
Will Mt. Washburn be open?
Yes! It's probably still pretty snowy up there right now, but Dunraven Pass is now open.

I know :( I'm so sad about it too! I keep holding out hope that they will fix it, but it's not looking very promising.
So crowded last year it was not enjoyable
