@@LowHeatBeats true, but why would u need to know the key throughout a whole song when u sample. If you like different parts just check those parts. Everyone works differently, but my self would never need to know the key of an entire sampled song. What I also do a lot is just playing with the brightest keys of my keyboard to figure out what works
Whole songs as in stuff with a lot of layers and instruments in it which is more complex than a single note. Also, stating the obvious here, but the key of the part that you are sampling is often the key of the song unless there are key changes. But in that case you can let the plugin listen to just the part that you are sampling. I also do it by ear with the keyboard in a lot of cases but I think this plugin is helpful to a lot of people. If it isn't to you, then that's cool.
it shows that the bx_crispytuner is working in maschine but the plugin UI window wont pop up when i click on the plugin... anyone else having this issue?
I can't even test it anymore since I'm using the native M1 version of Maschine and bx_crispytuner is not compatible. But in any other scenario/OS it should be working fine.
@@LowHeatBeats yea I’m on the same native M1 version of Maschine and it won’t pop up… bummer, I was really excited to have a key detection tool I already had with Komplete to work in Maschine projects….It works in logic though, but that isn’t as useful because I will be done with most of the composition at that point. I do all sampling in Maschine, not in logic. Let me know if you know of any alternatives, thanks!

Fair enough, it can help, but doesn't do too well if you feed it polyphonic signals, or whole songs.

I generally use Antares AutoKey but this plug in doesn’t work on maschine. I would use it on ableton tho.
Yeah the bx_crispytuner works in both Maschine and Ableton.
