  • In this video I am Shooting my Tikka .223 loaded with 52BTHP and Accurate 2460 Powder. After shooting, we measure the Mean Radius. Mean radius gives more information about a group than just the extreme spread because it takes into consideration every shot as a data point whereas extreme spread only measures the two furthest shots apart.
See the Hornady podcast number 99 below which goes into detail about mean radius and why it matters.

Great video! I recently found some 2460 can't wait to try it.

It works well with a lot of different bullet weights, but you will have to experiment to find a load that works well in your rifle. Thanks for watching Robert!

Hey Dennis, have you ever tried an anti-cant level on your scope?

Hi Jason. I used a level on the scope when I was installing it on the rifle. Is that what you’re referring to? Thanks for watching.

@EverydayReloadingandShooting no, an anti-cant level on your scope. It let's you know if your rifle is tilted (canted) left or right while shooting.

@@jasoneverett7343 no, I have not used one of those. I’m guessing it’s mounted somewhere on the outside of the scope? I can typically look at the vertical line on the reticle and decide if the rifle is level or not.

@@EverydayReloadingandShooting yes it mounts like a scope ring around the body of the scope. The level is off to the side so you can see it while leveling the rifle.
