Hmm, I will try this primer. I have an island covered with pine shiplap, and the knots just keep bleeding through the white paint after a few weeks. This seems to be stronger than the basic 123 primer.

Absolutely! Would love to know how it turns out for you. Everything I’ve heard and experienced myself is that there’s no stain this won’t block

Flow control for bush marks in future projects. It's additive painter use. Works well with metal doors and oil base too. Not sure it will work with this product though.

Thanks but .... why not just apply with the roller? I'm not following the advantage of using a brush first then a roller. It is a super great primer for sure!

How smooth was the finish? Was there visible roller stipple?

Thanks for this very helpful video! I’ve been agonizing over which primer to use on my glossy honey oak kitchen cabinets. I definitely need to block tannins and get serious adhesion, and it sounds like this does both. I’m going to try it. My biggest worry is all the gloss in the contours. I’m sanding, but getting the gloss out of all those grooves and curves is a nightmare! How did you manage it??

Don’t worry about sanding in all the little grooves. This stuff sticks like something crazy. Supposedly you don’t need any sanding at all. I did a light sanding on mine anyway but its overkill

Oh my God, that’s like the best news I’ve ever had! 😂
I’ll keep scuff sanding, but now I can feel good instead of stressing non stop! Thank you!!!!! ❤️

That stuff is da bomb for sealing odors like pet urine and cigarette smoke.

Can it be applied with a sprayer?

    • @samuelkingentrepreneur

It can but cleanup will be a mess. I decided it’s not worth it. Also the smell will be very intense if sprayed

You can actually buy it in spray cans. But much easier and cheaper to apply with a brush or roller.

    Can we get an update?

Just get a graco airless for like $200 and spray it (and wear a respirator). You'll get perfect finish, inside all the cracks, and the whole job sprayed in < 5 min. Cleanup is not too bad, just a cheap bottle of ammonia and a little water run through the sprayer and it cleans up fine. I just sprayed a dark stained beadboard porch ceiling with the stuff and went up fine, did not bleed through.

Can you get a Graco as cheap as $200?

@@jlbradders yes, Graco Project Painter Plus is around that price.
