@@cruetusnex Just saying you can't do that in historic. As for Treasure Hunt's modern playability, yeah it's outclassed, but there's nothing wrong in playing an outclassed deck from time to time for fun I suppose. Not that I do.
I will say treasure flare is the better of the two decks. Unfortunately it requires most of the triomes and a bunch of shock lands to properly work so it's very non budget if you weren't playing over the last few years.
You know, I’ve seen Treasure Hunt with Thassa’s Oracle and with Zombie Infestation... but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a BR build with Seismic Assault and Izzet lands... is it just too shaky with the RRR?
I know its probably slower but with shocklands could a UR version be used in modern using Seismic Assault instead or is that triple red holding that part back too much?
Seismic Assault is a legit way to build the deck in Modern. It has upsides (wins with less lands) and downsides (costs more, one-shot damage rather than creatures that offer repeatable damage) compared to Zombie Infestation.
For the combo to work you can't really play many non-land cards or else you fizzle Treasure Hunt. You could replace Zombie Infestation with Bone Miser, it seems fun although it's probably not better. The other problem is that Bone Miser and Varina are only legal in Legacy/Vintage/Commander, so they aren't an option for Historic or Modern anyway.
Isn't the Thassa's Oracle version a bit better? It's even more solitaire, since you don't care about their life total at all. Also, I don't get why there are Evolving Wilds in this deck, they should probably just be more basics, no? 😂😅
The thinking with Evolving Wilds is that we don't do anything on turn one anyway so we can use it then to fix our mana and then later once it's bad we can just discard it to Zombie Infestation. Still might not be worth it though. My concern with Thassa's Oracle is what happens if Thassa's Oracle is the bottom non-land in your deck? Doesn't that just fizzle the combo and make you lose?
@@MTGGoldfish i haven't tried it at all, but since the deck is 90% lands anyways, it should be kinda hard to be colour screwed, I think(another problem that being mono blue would solve)... In regards to the other issue, if Thassa's Oracle is the bottom non-land, you just play it and win 😅 if there are still 30 cards in your deck when that happens, you can use Mystic Sanctuary to get Treasure Find back from the graveyard and do it again. Maybe it can happen that it's literally the very last card of the deck *and* you don't have enough mana to play it, but that's a miniscule chance of happening. The only way it would make you lose is if you Treasure Find into it the first time through without drawing many cards, but after that you still have Mystic Sanctuary to get it back and keep going. Being Mono-Blue means that you're pretty much always gonna have 3 islands in play after turn 3

Possibly in another format, but it's weird to suggest that below a Historic video.
@@UTUB2kholle there's better high-roll jank decks in modern, idk why you'd ever choose treasure hunt.
@@cruetusnex Just saying you can't do that in historic.
As for Treasure Hunt's modern playability, yeah it's outclassed, but there's nothing wrong in playing an outclassed deck from time to time for fun I suppose. Not that I do.
Isn't the cycling land zenith flare version just better since you don't gotta find reliquary?
I will say treasure flare is the better of the two decks. Unfortunately it requires most of the triomes and a bunch of shock lands to properly work so it's very non budget if you weren't playing over the last few years.
What about mono blue version with thassa oracle he's seath made a video about that deck
You know, I’ve seen Treasure Hunt with Thassa’s Oracle and with Zombie Infestation... but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a BR build with Seismic Assault and Izzet lands... is it just too shaky with the RRR?
There have been Modern builds with Seismic Assault. Certainly a viable way to build the deck.
Deck is missing lurrus to get back countered infestations
I apparently don't have enough common wildcards to make this deck. I have more rare wildcards than common wildcards.
Thanks for the Content, Seth!
Today I made this deck and found out that the matchup against soul warden is really funny
What is the best companion for this deck?
Kaheera
Prob lurrus to get back countered infestations
is it just me or is the volume super low in this video? I had to put my TV on extreme volumes to hear anything. Next video I watched made me deaf.
Do you think it is a good idea to put one Varina, Lich Queen and one Bone Miser in this deck?
Nope. The way treasure hunt works, that would diffuse the amount if card draw you get
For the combo to work you can't really play many non-land cards or else you fizzle Treasure Hunt. You could replace Zombie Infestation with Bone Miser, it seems fun although it's probably not better. The other problem is that Bone Miser and Varina are only legal in Legacy/Vintage/Commander, so they aren't an option for Historic or Modern anyway.
BEST DECK IN HISTORIC!!!
Oh shit I love this deck I played it in modern where it’s really bad
Tried this deck on the historic ranked, and lost 20 in a row. I just gave up. People just pressure you a lot, or combo before you, really hard to win
never played against sultai, btw
How can I get treasure hunt and Zombie Infection in Mtga, they're not in the card list?
Spiffy new mic!
Starting off 2020 with......wait, why would you do this to me?!?!?
What if you put lutri, the spellchaser and Garuda, doom of depths in the companion zone i now its not in the spirit of the video though
How about add more spelland into this deck?
Deck looks fun but it could be shut off by having necromentia in sideboard
Yeah, there are cards that just straight up beat it. It's a high risk/high reward strategy.
This deck has so many weak spots but its hilarious when it happens.
why is the audio two times lower than any other video on the youtube?
I think the issue was that I got a new mic and was still figuring things out :)
Is it just me or the volume is extremely low on this video?
Have you thought using spellbound instead of relliquary tower?
Spellbound what?
bruh, this is all i face in ladder now, thank you 😒
Lurus as a companion is also a good option for the deck
Now that’s what I call a curve
