I don't think I have ever seen him give up the lead on the break in, even if he has to accelerate to get it. He needs to run the rounds a bit better and ensure he has a good lane choice and someone to chase. As a former 400m guy I am really excited about KJ. What a field with Wariner, KJ, Merritt, Gonzalez.
Tell Bolt that Kirani is ready for the challenge, in high school they called Kirani the shifter because whenever he's behind in a race he just shift to another gear and blows pass his all his opponents.

He runs like a middle distance runner, with the mid-foot (as opposed to balls of feet)... compensates for slower leg speed with long elegant strides. Its an interesting technique but you need a coach smart enough to build on it.
