    If you are new, your hand and brain need to be "calibrated" in order to be able to push off 2 cards everytime instead of more;
    This can be done by keeping a card face up to ease your hand's and brain's calibration. And then push cards with your thumb. Normaly more than 2 will be pushed. That's where you need to take it painstakingly slow in order for only 2 cards to be pushed.
    You need to go as slow as your hands and brain need in order for that to happen. Then do it as many times as needed for your brain to become calibrated. Then speed up the process as the calibration becomes muscle memory.

    Great tutorial and critique of the strike and push off options. Simon Lovell in ‘Second to None’ adds in a very deceptive upwards thumb swipe to the push off that also provides some cover and adds to the illusion that the top card has gone - well worth a look . . .

    This is awesome. You could have the person pick a card and then you do the pass to get it up. then you ask them to pick a number in between 1-52 and you just go all the way to that numbr and then it will be their card.

    Richard 'the Cheat' Turner is considered a card mechanic. Basically a gambling cheat, like Steve Forte or Jason England, and Turner is considered the greatest card mechanic of all time.

    Yes; Richard Turner is considered the best card mechanic in the world! The sleights he does are a lot more difficult than your standard magic sleights. you are an amateur compared to him ; and you're teaching method leaves a lot to be desired to

      Go and read the 4 pages on the Push Off Second Deal from The Expert Card Technique (The letters are around 9px or 10px)
