I always wondered where the level stars come from, because they seem like a really tacked on mechanic in the actual game. it makes sense that they actually used to be "price points" as a drawback for big monsters.
I *think* in the original Bandai rules, both players took their turns simultaneously and you could only have 1 monster in play at a time (not that I blame you for not realizing that - too many modern effects rely on filling a board and responding to the other player on sequence)
jfkdjd unfortunately the Bandai rules are pretty barebones
@@ToxyTCG It’s all good. They weren’t meant for anything as complex as fusions, much less pendulums. Btw, have you seen the YGO Neo Duel project here on CZcams? It’s a fanmade format that feels like a modern take on the Bandai rules.

I think that last game, you missed that monsters die in combat because of their defence.
But I'm more concerned about someone making a deck that doesn't contain any stars worth of monsters.
In the last game, Tia had Dragonmaid Welcome out, so all of Her monsters had Defenses wayy too high for me to destroy
