If Tommy doesn't exist, this video 100% will be about Charles' unlucky moments
and every reaction would start with "ITS CRAZY"
The (insert total number of leclerc heartbreaking moments) heartbreaking moments from the 2023 F1 season.
@@generaldreagonlps6889😂😂
So Tommy's most heartbreaking moment is his second most favourite driver finishing second behind his most favourite driver.
Very tough life xD
@@jacob2808 life is not fair and the moment you realize it is when you become a man
Tommy calling Carlos Alcaraz, the 2nd best player in the world right now, ‘some tennis guy at some tennis thing’ was too good 💀
Charles getting taken out in the formation lap is probably one of the top ones
Yes it was
taken out when ? did i miss some race
@@lostmind24 Brazil, he had a hydraulics failure and crashed on the formation lap
Who took him out?
@@Brugjeoverhetwater His biggest rival, Ferrari
The amount of people that tuned into the twitch to see Matt’s reaction to the Formation Lap crash was insane
I'm surprised noone has mentioned anything from Qatar. I remember my heart shattering when I saw Logan get out of the car like that, it wasn't like he was going to get points or anything but it was horrible to see
All of the drivers were in some very bad states physically after that race, Logan got the worst of it because he was still recovering from being ill, but just the general vibe with all the drivers afterwards... it just wasn't safe. Exciting on track, sure, but I don't want to risk driver safety more than what is inherently necessary to the sport. Stroll was on the brink of consciousness, Gasly throwing up, everyone could barely stand afterwards. A bad crash would've been on F1 and not the drivers.
This was the moment that upset me most for sure, so good call! Absolutely heartbreaking
No one?
@@FoggyMcFogFaceI thought it was estie throwing up that we knew of
@@Charleybear70 I think it was some French guy in an Alpine for sure
Guess I’m an oddball here but Mexico was so heartbreaking 💔 Checo put so much pressure on himself to deliver for his home crowd. Just such a tough season for him, hoping to see him aim for consistency next year and the wins will follow.
That's not odd. That's very fair and I agree
Agreed, especially as a RB fan. This season was a season of conflicting emotion, at one end it saw a driver become greatness and another who could barely hit mediocrity. The race that epitomizes this was Miami, where Checo got rolled over by Max.
That was utterly brutal
I wouldn't really consider it too heartbreaking because it was entirely Perez's fault. Kind of hard to feel bad for him because he did it to himself and made a pretty dumb mistake.
Sainz in Australia, asking his team for an appeal was pretty depressing
it was the most heartbreaking moment for me. I cried when he said PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🤌🏻 in the car 😭😭
@@mirifujigaya94 this & Austria 22 was the most depressing thing for me last 2 years :(
Sainz begging in Australia wasn't depressing.
Sorry, but to me that sounded pathetic!
How pathetic you are - seeking attention by opposing the others loll
Daniel's whole season was heartbreaking. Got hit by a tyre in Brazil, someone's tear-off got stuck in his break duct in abu dhabi. And everyone is like "bro is washed" but come on
Alonso's lost pole in Monaco is my most depressing moment of this season along with the aston downfall
Together with puting medium tyres when it was already raining. He could hace won that race 😢
Alonso didn't really lose it though, Max won it with an insane S3.
@@luminescentlion well he lost it to max thats what i am saying
That whole sequence was the most memorable moment of the season for me as a neutral. Ocon sneaking it up there from nowhere. Leclerc taking it for a moment at home. The climax to Alonsos redemption arc. And Max just clutching his last lap, scrubbing the walls and cementing his inevitability.
My flabber was fully gasted.
@@ChickenKhorma quali was crazier than the race😂
As an alpine fan...my heartbreaking moment was 2023.
The most heartbreaking moment that nobody but me noticed apparently was Australia GP, when if the stupid Race Director wouldve waited till the leader crossed the timing loop after the restart, Haas and Hulkenberg wouldve got a podium
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I felt really bad for Checo at the Mexico GP but you know what, Charles can turn around and say. "Hey, how about my stats at my home GP?" Honestly, as a Charles fan..I still have hope that he will be get a WDC one day but I do want him to win the Monaco GP in his career.
Let's not forget about Carlos' penalty in Australia and Vegas, it was heartbreaking!!!😢😢
Neither of those would have been penalties if there was any sense to the decisions. It was super unfair, especially as it cost them 2nd place in the constructor's championships. They definitely deserved p2 more than Mercedes (and I'm saying that as a Merc fan).
@@abigailcooling6604Ferrari left the P2 in the two DNS's they had.
after that compensates for all the mistakes he made in qualifying and testing that the drivers denounced and that the fia did not sanction
@@abigailcooling6604oh stop it lol
They didn’t deserve it more
Ferrari had a much faster car and still bottle like since 08 😂😂😂
Wish we had highlights of the twitch live reactions from you two added into every occesion, honestly thought it'd be thrown in. Hoping for a twitch moments compilation for 2023!!
Leclerc Brazil, Sainz Australia, Russel Singapore. Those are the 3 that first came to my head after reading the title.
Most heartbreaking moment for me: Nyck de Vries, after a good showing in a Williams the season prior, doing so poorly with AT that *two* backup drivers out-did him in fewer races.
(Although it *did* ultimately give us Liam Freaking Lawson, so I'll take that as counterbalance.)
Close second: Imola being scrapped due to weather. Necessary, but still sad.
Max not going 22 and 0 and blanking the field was my lowest moment
And at the same time the highest for many people.
Charles out on the formation lap and Russell in the wall in Singapore are hands down the biggest heartbreak of this season.
Russell in the wall was definitely a heartwarming moment
@@funkerman7 only if you're an asshole.
Day x without F1 be like:
Hulkenburg was metres away from a podium, Ricciardo’s wrist injury was so unfortunate, just glad Qatar didn’t have a heartbreak moment with how at the limit the drivers were
It would end Ricciardo season, he wasn't the same when he return.
“Eat it” is an Americanism complaining about the fact that Ferrari had to pay for the damage inflicted by the drain cover. Basically, Ferrari had to consume the financial hit for something that was not their fault.
Watching pierre crash into ocon in australia was the most heartbreaking moment as a pierre gasly fan
The most heartbreaking moment was Verstappen not winning every race 😢 Poor lad...
For me as a max fan, the saddest moment was seeing lando in qatar, being sad that his teammate „won a race“ before him, as it seemed to really get to him
That's not sad at all. Norris choked. Piastri didn't. Personally I thought his whole upset vibe in Qatar was super manipulative, trying to drag attention away from his teammate and back onto himself.
This year was the first year my wife watched F1(shes recently moved to u.k from indonesia they dont have it on t.v there) she was so gutted for Russell in singapore that she now is a fan of his and cheers him lol
Already liked it as I started watching. Something tells me Matt will be featured many times in these moments... 😜
Being a Checo fan and witnessing the last 18 races of the season
I feel you. Don't even know which moment to choose. Silverstone qualifying was rough. I was so annoyed at the time that people tried to spin a narrative out of the three unrelated coincidences that were Checo crashing in Monaco Q1, him qualifying 11th or 12th in Catalunya (which is somehow always a weak track for him) and the team inexplicably calling him to the pits on his only Q2 timed lap on slicks in Montreal.
He had OK pace during Silverstone qualifying. And then it came to that one lap shoot-out, with Checo going first on a quickly drying track.
Or track limits in Q2 in Austria, when he was easily decond fastest.
All the track limits penalties in Qatar.
And of course Mexico turn 1 to top it all off.
I feel you pain, Matt. It was bad to be a Tifosi from 1979 to 2000. But the sun will shine again on us. Maybe. 🙃
That's 21 years! Damn...never knew that
@@TheJubess yep, 21 years until Michael Schumacher won.. and Niki Lauda also had a 15 year gap before the last Ferrari championship
What about Max not winning Singapore....quite a sad moment🙂
Yeah it was heartbreaking... it broke his perfect "every race on the podium" streak.
Not a hardcore max fan but damn I was rooting for him actually
@@Rob2The kind of record that will be harder to beat the more races they add to the calendar.
Yuki's run of 3 consecutive DNFs that weren't his fault... How I forced myself to watch those races is beyond me
He only had 2 this season.
14:50 the meaning of "Ferrari had to eat it" was referencing to the fact they had a damaged car and had to "eat" a 10-second penalty out of no fault of their own.
We need a compilation of all the shocked Matt moments from Twitch please!!!!
Singapore: redbull not getting the perfect sweep all season. Probably an unpopular one, but this season was probably the last chance for us to see something like that actually happen considering the new rules are trying to stop a breakout team from having dominance
And the number of races increasing as well.
the safety car in silverstone robbing oscar from his first podium that he so deserved. I'm still not over it
I legit cried. At that point we had no scope of how good the McLaren had really become, so I thought this might have been his only chance this year.
Safety cars are just like that... Perez won Baku due to one.
love the shared hand being waved during the outro
I'm not an alpine fan, I don't know if they exist, but last year they finished 4th in the championship and Alonso had many reliable problems, so I expected that they would do better but they literally had the most mid season ever. it's strange that nobody said it😂
They exist! There is one in the comments here!
Am I the only one that almost never watches these ones because the podcast version contains more? 😅 podcast is 35 mins I believe, I feel like I’m missing out if I only watch the vid, even though the video does add value (especially in these kinds of videos)
Charles’ Bahrain DNF I was like, “AWW! No!! Wait a min, Max DNF’d last year. Hey, it’s not over. He could still win this? Maybe?” Until 10 place grid pen round 2.
As a Dane, my worst moment were K-mag being a week after Hulkeburger in every qualify.
Sainz in Australia... that was so unfair with the reversal to restart order
Awesome video as always!
I have a question about the Sprint Race format the FIA has been testing in recent years. If I remember correctly, the aim is to make Saturdays more exciting.
However, given that they already have two championships, have they considered having two races for each championship? One race solely for constructors (points), allowing teams to strategise and maximise points for the team, and the second race exclusively for drivers (points), where teammates can compete against each other as well. This approach could make each race distinct and more engaging. Do you happen to know why they haven’t tried that?
Again it just takes shine off a grand prix Sunday and is too confusing for new fans
Most heartbreaking moment is P1 at Bahrain when we all know RBR is way faster than everybody else 😅
Leclerc pit blunder was the funniest thing ever, beautiful vine booms
Heartbreaking moment is seeing stroll still on the grid & for 2024 too
George hitting the wall was one of my favorite moments of the year
14 times where Ferrari were Ferrari
My most painful one was the double Alpine DNF in Australia
Oh! An Alpine fan! My first time actually seeing one
Plus Hungary if Australia was not enough.
Esteban's engine failure in Singapore on his birthday, I felt so bad for him
Heartbreaking moment was waiting a whole week without a new P1 video.
Matt. As a fellow Ferrari fan from down under. This was a hard video. Watched Charles out on formation lap live with you. I was speechless. ❤
- Mclaren Bahrain
- Hamilton Brazil
- Lando not winning a race ( so close yet so far )
- ....
Albon's crash in Australia, because at that point in the year it didn't seem realistic Williams would get a lot of points
Also Hulkenberg P4 being reverted later in the race
You guys should do a drive to survive predictions video!
The season in itself was heartbreaking, because i'm not someone who enjoys watching people break records and dominate, but instead likes the intense fight between 2 or 3 drivers right up until the last race.
So the season was heartbreaking for me, because it made the overall championship feel done by the sommer break, and i didn't even feel like really watching the rest of the season... I did end up watching it, because i somehow convinced myself to forget about the championship, and just enjoy each race on it's own! And it's not because i hate Verstappen or Red Bull, i mean it's their entire job to win as much as possible, and i had much the same feeling with Hamilton, Vettel and Schumacher when THEY won everything several seasons in a row.
I absolutely respect what all the dominant winners did, but it doesn't change how i feel about them ruining the excitement aspect for the fans several seasons in a row, where it's not so much a question of someone else winning, but rather how the dominat driver/team could possibly lose...
Pain 💔
Mine was Sainz getting effed over in Vegas.
For me, most heartbreaking has to be Sainz in Australia when he got his penalty.
I watched it live, and you could hear the disappointment in his voice.
Before watching the video, my picks are Fernando pitting for mediums instead of inters in Monaco and Nyck losing his seat after not even half the season
The nostalgic “I don’t wanna talk about it 0:54
As a Checo fan, the moment that really got me and there were A LOT of bad moments. But for me was Mexico Lap 1 because the whole weekend everyone was so hyped for him and for that to happen just broke me and I turned the race off after that. I couldn’t be bothered 😂
Russell crashing out last lap Singapore… honestly broke my heart
Most heartbreaking is Carlos heartbreak radio, I haven’t watched the video yet, but that wins.
Latte boy in the wall was definitely a highlight of the season for me 🧡
It was pain during the first half of the season, in the en i didnt want the season to end as a mclaren fan
I would take the Moment as Esteban had, after a class Race, a mechanic issue at his birthday. That was really heartbreaking
Surprised Qatar didn't get a run here. Logan begging to be allowed to continue even as his body was giving up just ripped your heart out. You could hear the fear in his voice that if he retired he'd lose his seat.
Charles was for sure frustrated in Brazil, but I think as a fan, it was the heartbreak in Carlos' radio message in Australia that was absolutely awful.
Sidenote to the sadness: nice Penguins sweater, Tommy
Frequent replays can be fixed if there are 2 channels running F1 race. One channel will be dedicated to live action and another channel for replays and secondary live actions.
Also Yuki in the formation lap in Italy
Checo lap 1 incident in his home race😢
#1 for me is Aston Martin pitting Alonso for a set of slicks when it was pouring rain in Monaco... people give Ferrari a lot of hate for their strategies, but Aston Martin really shit the bed that day
The race was finished when stroll crashed
Every weekend was a heartbreak.
Personally the most heartbreaking moment of the season is Yuki crashing into Oscar at Mexico 😭😭
Ah finally the video that is playing in Matt’s head non stop this whole season
Its not Fernando not winning this year( it also is), is not having a good car since 2013 to win a race, its 10 years and 8 with a lot of potential lost.
Charles Leclerc retiring on the formation lap brought up previous trauma for me... France 1996.
I thought this video would be a compilation of Matt-clips or at least some clips included. Missed opportunity imo guys
….the TV direction…….I said this before…it like looking at an NFL game….replays….replays……..and more replays….
My Heartbreaking Moment was the Pace of the Astons (especially Alonso) in México
I was so relieved when they retired Alonso’s car because it was pain to watch him being so damn slow
They were the 10th fastest car with that upgrade for Austin and Mexico city
I wonder how long this kind of video would have been for 2022
4:40 alcaraz (number 2 in the world) did it in Wimbledon
Yuki was incrediblg unlucky this season as well. Brake issues in Monaco when he P9, bad penalty in Spain when he as P9, horrible strategy in Zandvoort when he was running P6 (maybe I'm not sure), engine DNS when he qualified P11 in Monza, Perez crashed into him lap 1 when he had a good start in Singapore, strategy woes in Abu Dhabi when I think he could've had P7 at least. All in all he missed out on potentially 12 more points which could've shown his good his season really was
The engineer from Williams when Sargeant binned it in the wall in Japan.
I am a George fan and man.. I cannot tell you how gutted I was after JUST finishing up my explanation to my GF of why George is my favorite driver and how he had a chance at the win, watching him go straight on into the barriers. I feel you for the second time Leclerc fans (George stepping in for Lewis at Sakhir and not winning because of bad luck was the first).
Carlos and alpines in Australia not making the list is just as heartbreaking as the heartbreak of when it happened.
Only two moments, 1. When Mercedes didn't switch GR and Ham combined with Sainz towing Lando which took away Hams chance of winning the race. 2. Max not winning every race. (If Hamilton couldn't win a race I wanted Max to win every race this season).
When I saw the thumbnail I thought these would all be Charles Leclerc :D
Yea the Brazil formation lap cost Ferrari 2nd in constructors.
Matt-Ferrari Heartbreak is the backbone of this channel😂🙌🏽
Matt and Leclerc is literally me during Kimi's Mclaren run. Some highs but the lowest of lows.
Matt, some of us feel your pain.
Zoe, we all luv Danny Ric.
33 was on in Monaco.
No one is a George fan anymore. 😔
It's an Americanism. Ferrari had to eat the costs of the collision even though it wasn't their fault.
where are the twitch reaction videos?
My most painful moment of the season was discovering the Mercedes F1 Instagram comment section. My sides hurt from laughing anytime anything happened between George and Lewis, very painful, 10/10 would recommend, thanks TeamLH
Alonso in Monaco pitted for Slicks instead of Inters in the wet weather was the Heartbreaking moment for me. 😣😢💔
Checo in Mexico. THAT WAS BRUTAL!
12:45 I'm a George fan, this season was rough. Although as a bit of a McLaren fan it got better.
For videos like this, you really ought to show clips from your live reactions to stuff that happened while you streamed watchalongs. Would ad an extra dimension and you could even react to it yourselves. Would be cool
Nice Ferrari compilation!
