  • Ok so this 96 GTI project has been in the works slowly since the summer of 2021. I don't have dedicated videos of this build, as it was being done in the background and I did random updates on it in various other videos. This project was underway as I just began my CZcams Channel and I was focusing on the other builds. So this Episode 1 is about the end of this project. The engine was dropped in back in like October 2021 and it was never started, It was just put into storage for winter.
Stay tuned for this project to come to a finish later with new seat covers, new graphics, and hopefully fixing the issues with the speedo, gas gauge, and oil sensor.
The ski ran great as I put about 40 minutes on it today. No leaks or other issues.

Would you recommend the bombardier as a first time ski?

I have two Buyers Guide videos up, one for hulls the 2nd for engines.
For a first ski I would recommend something with a 717cc engine, either a 95 XP for a single rider thats really tippy but fun for jumping and ripping on. Or a 96 GTI or 97-99GTS style 717cc 3 seater for family cruising, its more stable, and not really good for jumping..

I have a 96 gti, runs rough with no throttle, everything is connected and working as it should in the carbs, any suggestions?
