Easy Smoked Tri Tip - Traeger

- Thats right everyone. Easy easy easy . 2 tri tips with a light coat of SPG ,1 rubbed with sucklebusters texas brisket rub and 1 with sucklebusters competition bbq rub . They sweat for 30 min while we set the traeger to 225 , we put them in for 1 hr until 116 internal and then rested and cranked up the traeger to 500 , we let it heat uo for 15min and seared each side for 5min , then we pulled off and rested for 10-15min and cut them , in this cook we shot for about 125-130 internal and it came out great . Nice pink middle and super tender.

Good technique and I intend to try this. You could have edited out the 2 minutes where you just trimmed and spiced. We get the idea.
Thanks , work in progress , i remember when i started cooking , trimming , seasoning and temperature was important most videos would cut that out
You are cutting it the wrong direction. Against the grain will make it more tender when eating.
That intial cut was just to see the middle , i was trying to guage where it changed direction for the rest of the slices
