I don't know if you give this kind of advice but I'm a beginner novice and someday hopefully this year I'm looking to build my own muscle car. In the industrial park that I work in I found out a month ago that the Camaro club was moving in. This Camaro club allows all cars as well as Camaros in their club and it only cost $25 a year. I've always been a muscle car enthusiast and thought this was a sign for me to start getting my own muscle car. I would like to find a rolling chassis for a 71 to 73 Camaro to build. I would like to put a 5.3 LS 3 Gen in that with a Whipple supercharger if I can afford it lol. I also am a fan of the tremec 6-speed transmission. I'm not looking for something that can do massive burnouts or anything like that but what I am looking for is something that can travel to shows on the highway, as long-lasting and durable, and when I hit second gear or a third year and drop the hammer not a lot can touch me. What do you recommend as far as the engine, supercharger, transmission and rear end? Do the ones I have picked out work? I was also thinking about tubing out the rear end. Any input would be appreciated. Ultimately, I'd like to have a 5.3 LS with at least 550 HP that is all engine but if I have to at a supercharger to it I would prefer a supercharger over a blower just because I've had bad experiences with blowers when I was younger. I would like this to be a long-lasting durable engine that I can wrench on myself most of the time and of course all of this is on a poor man's budget :-). Since by the time the Camaro club will move into their new home toward the mid or end of summer I would like to start working on this car if possible or at least the main components by the end of summer. I've been watching many great videos specifically about 5.3 LS 3 gens and I found some great information but I just am trying to see how much it would cost to get that engine to 550 horsepower, will it work well with a 6-speed transmission, what type of rear end and list of costs for the parts that I would need for my project. I actually prefer the 4.8 to the 5.3 The shorter stroke makes for better balancing, so you get more durability in the high rpm range. Not to mention supercharging is safer.
Me personally, I enjoy fun torkey daily stock motors. I'd personally go with a stock 6.2 with the excuse of *Displacement*, then replace the common problems before it breaks.
I threw an l33 5.3 in mine with all of the above plus some meth, boost, a literal truck cam (she chops harrrrd) and it is on a safe tune @91 octane making 626 wheel. The 5.3 is an amazing engine for real.
I had a 5-3 in a Jeep Cherokee. Had ported heads and intake off of a Corvette with a cam, and some other nonsense. I bent the driver side axle shaft, incriminated The u joint yoke on the differential.
I'm inclined on the high volume instead of high pressure oil pump, I'm working on a 6.2 4th gen stage 2 cam speed engineering full dual headers, after market air intake, dual fuel injectors, lots more upgrades on the 08 silverado,
When I did this customization on my avalanche, it was fun for a couple years, but then I found out I could put a a Cummins engine in it, then it was even better
If on a budget and got iron block find some used ls1 pistons and have machine shop bore to 3.898 now u got a iron ls1. Won't work with gen 4 rods but ws6 makes some that do

Love your channel bro
I love your videos
not really an american v8 type of guy but i can say i do fw the ls and coyote motors
Upgrading the oil system is a must
I actually prefer the 4.8 to the 5.3
The shorter stroke makes for better balancing, so you get more durability in the high rpm range.
Not to mention supercharging is safer.
You always give us the best content❤
Thank you man, I been looking for a ls to put in my little 4cyl Colorado🔥🔥
Me personally, I enjoy fun torkey daily stock motors. I'd personally go with a stock 6.2 with the excuse of *Displacement*, then replace the common problems before it breaks.
You are bringing value to your viewers 👏🏼 Im gonna save this video.
How do you know so much about engine systems??? You should have your own branded engine company bro! Wow!👍👍👍👍👍
This Dude never mentions and also you need to be an experienced and proficient mechanic with any of his videos!!!!
Like your videos, bro, you should do a video on the 12 valve Cummins engine, the best diesel engine ever made
I could listen to this guy talk about engines all day lol
Dude! I love every one of your videos man! Keep it up! 👍🏻
Would you say this is the best bang for your buck junkyard motor? I'm looking to build 600hp for a boat.
Love the videos brother. Nothing else compares.
I threw an l33 5.3 in mine with all of the above plus some meth, boost, a literal truck cam (she chops harrrrd) and it is on a safe tune @91 octane making 626 wheel. The 5.3 is an amazing engine for real.
I did it u just like this in my c4 corvette and he not lying
Bro you the king u know your stuff
I had a 5-3 in a Jeep Cherokee. Had ported heads and intake off of a Corvette with a cam, and some other nonsense. I bent the driver side axle shaft, incriminated The u joint yoke on the differential.
I havnt seen one of your videos in forever your awesome bro I hope your doing good
Thank you been waiting for this one
I've been watching your videos a while you sir are a genius 👊
LC9 comes with HO oil pump and the flex fuel injectors are a better spray. Save some money! YEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Good video... I'm going to have to put this on repeat
I'm inclined on the high volume instead of high pressure oil pump, I'm working on a 6.2 4th gen stage 2 cam speed engineering full dual headers, after market air intake, dual fuel injectors, lots more upgrades on the 08 silverado,
i love it, keep on educating us this is awesome
I made 740hp n/a with a L18 and 2500$ budget including motor
Nothing beats the 6.0 in my opinion 6.0’s are no joke it’s a beast
Building my work truck thanks for the advice!!
Finna do this to my next 5.3
The parts list I'm looking at for my build is about 4.5k, but I'm also planning on having it bored to 5.7 litres.
When I did this customization on my avalanche, it was fun for a couple years, but then I found out I could put a a Cummins engine in it, then it was even better
Absolutely awesome bro 👍👏👏👏
I appreciate you dawg I’m building a 5.3L L33 aluminum block to throw in my Genesis coupe 2.0T 😂
Bro knows his sh**
Bro you be killin it G! Do a 6.0 bro if you haven’t already. Keep dropping your motorpedia knowledge G 🫡💪🏾
dont forget lifters to go with the cam. the lifters have issues as well
I'm on that now can't wait to finish 🎉🎉🎉
If on a budget and got iron block find some used ls1 pistons and have machine shop bore to 3.898 now u got a iron ls1. Won't work with gen 4 rods but ws6 makes some that do
On the cool you the man I look too when im looking for mod ideas fo 😂😅
Got mad trust in ya
Great video thanks for the information 👍

I stroked mine now i have a ls 383 monster 515hp NA
Go man, GO !!!!
I have a 2006 yukon SLT 4x4 with a 5.3 lc9 i believe, i think i sm going to do what he said plus a super charger and keep it looking stock , i want to be crushing it in 4x4 in the snow and mud, but i think the transmission And gears might not like that much power
Bro be dropping gems
