I swear, Metal is like the genre that links all musics and cultures together. I've heard Arab Metal, Mongolian Metal, Japanese Metal, Nordic folk, European traditional instrumental, and basically any local traditional music you can find, suits to Metal. I love it.
AmorthOfficial arabic and mongolian metal?
Gotta go check it!!
I don't know a lot of Arabic Metal (since they execute the musicians half of the time) but you can start with Myrath, even though I don't like the voice that much, the music is really nice.
On the other I have recommandations for Mongolian (or Chinese for those who don't consider Inner Mongolia as Outland) Metal, as a huge lover of Mongolian folk.
Please try anything you can find of Nine Treasures, and you have also Tengger Cavalry (also the latest albums are a bit weak), and last but not least, modern Hanggai.
And to be honest, you'll discover the rest as you dig. ;)
AmorthOfficial thank you for this, it is nice of you to take your time to give me the names of this groups. :D
May the metal be in you. \m/
@Moyuga I second the recommendation of Tengger Cavalry, but also Alien Weaponry is a band with lyrics in the Maori language of NZ, and Eluveitie is quite cool as well (Swiss folk metal).
There's a Black Metal band from Saudi Arabia called Al-Namrood.
Just started listening to you guys...WOW!!!!! Keep up with what you are doing. You are reaching people all over the globe and uniting us under one common and great cause: Taking our kingdom back from the 1%! (I'm a 50 year young metal head from Minnesota). You're voices are much needed in lands barren of truth and justice. With much love I thank you! And send prayers for blessing and protection!
Well said, Calamity Jane !
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Eluveitie: Celtic Metal
Nightwish: Symphonic Metal
Chthonic: Chinese Folk Metal
Amon Amarth: Viking Metal
Orphaned Land: Arabian Folk Metal
Alestorm: Pirate Metal
Shepherd's Reign: Polynesian Folk Metal
The HU: Mongolian Folk Metal
*Bloodywood: Punjabi Folk Metal*
I wonder what will be next? Native American folk metal perhaps? I would love to see that.
Babymetal: Japanese "kawaii" metal
Heidevolk: Dutch folk metal
Natives (Americans or Canadians) + folk metal sounds like it would be a match made in Heaven.
Alien Weaponry - Maori metal
Thank you for giving me an exploration / expansion list-
Sepultura - Roots..... Or does that not count?

The thing about this band is they harmonize metal with Indian folk music so gracefully without leaving an ounce of flaw, Much love and appreciation!
I love it when musicians blend the traditional with the contemporary...Myrath (Tunisian) is great at doing this, as well.
that indain folk music is the only bad thing about this song.
Kartikeya does it much better though, even though they are Russians performing Indian influenced metal

Hola
Holy Sh*t Balls.... I am a pasty face white boy from the US and sang in a rock band for many years. I've been looking forward to going to India for several years and researching so much and now finally bought tickets a couple of days ago for Mumbai.
Somehow I have NEVER looked up India rock. Google misunderstood me when I said "indie" rock. Why did I get goosebumps. I LOVE it.
Bro you did the same mistake everyone usually does. Pls next time avoid visiting Mumbai or dehli coz you will see nothing there but chaos and a huge population there. Many parts of India are very greenery and paradises on earth. Next time Pls come to Kerala and northeast india
@@creativethinkers3214 Gosh...I reaaaally didn't want to go to Mumbai. I've watched so many videos of so many beautiful places there and talked to an Indian at work who recommended Kerala.
The ticket cost hundreds more to go to other places. Now the price has dropped and it would have cost just as much to go to Goa, but I'm already locked in. So, after 2 or 3 days in Mumbai we will take a train somewhere or maybe even fly south.
Thanks for the warning!
@@all4fitz lol i mean mumbai and dehli are beautiful in their own way but i mean it is so chaotic and my southern city is not that chaotic. But yeah really parts of mumbai and dehli look like western world.........but if you really want to experience the indian culture then you have to come to south india and visit our mind boggling temples...........and kerela is a heaven on earth and literally a paradise.......trust me you will be mesmerised by it......even next week my whole family is going to kerela but im not going due to my exams......or try to visit north eastern part which is way more cheaper and have incredible nature .......if you are spending a week in india then get out of mumbai as soon as possible coz there are lot more places to explore in a week............have a nice trip and pls dont mind asking me travel tips or suggestions
@@creativethinkers3214 Thank you for the encouragement to get out of Mumbai! You're making me realize I might feel the same way I did in Ireland as I thought it was just another version of the US. I knew at that time my next trip has to be more of a culture shock which I look forward to. Haha..."get out of Mumbai as soon as possible." I think I'm convinced. Coincidentally, my little lady is from Imphal so I will most likely make it to the Northeast in a future visit to India. Also, she will be my tour guide so that will help a lot.
I remember when I first looked up Kerala and was reminded of the huge diversity in India. You're making me feel like we should try hard to travel that far south. I'll have almost two weeks!
I made a list of things to do in Mumbai including what might be the most interesting and less popular, visiting the Dharavi. And also made a list of foods to try like Pav Bhaji. After watching Harold Balder search for Kingfisher and Desi Daru, I think I better try those too.
I just might have to take advantage of your offer for travel tips. Thank you so much!
Nooo...It's terrible that exams are forcing you back from what could be a great visit to Kerala! After killing it on the exams you will have to reward yourself and make up for the loss. Even though I've hated working everyday for an employer all of these years I still look back on school days and exams and feel fortunate that I made it through all of that. Good luck!
@@all4fitz bruh i mean tbh there are many tourst visitng dharavi idk why but yeah graduated from school but now preparing for my mediacl entramce exam which is basically one of the biggest exams in the world where nearly 20 million students write............so yeah hopefully im planning to visit kerela in summer after giving my exams.......thanks for your words...cheers
