  • Making a puller to remove the tines and wheels from an Earthquake tiller. Also would work on Troy Bilt Pony sized tiller of all makes with one inch shafts.

That's a beautiful piece of engineering right there. I work at a small engine shop where we work on a lot of tillers. Stuck wheels and tines are always a problem, and the mechanics would kill for a slick puller like that. THANK YOU!

Well, now you know how to build one, or who to talk to if you want to buy one.

Great job. Sometimes making a tool us more rewarding than finishing the job itself.
    Thanks for a great video.

What a great idea! I got a Pony with a stuck wheel and some 1/4" x 2" square tubing from a trailer axle project! With your know-how and my poor fabrication skills, I'll have me a puller too! Thanks for the idea!

Top drawer, hands on shop made tools that worked as intended. Brilliant, I enjoyed watching. A blob of grease always works. I thought you'd stripped the thread when pulling the wheel off, then it came off. Great old school you ain't beating me dude video lol. Tony

Absolutely brilliant! I've watched at least 2 dozen videos the last 3 days, and this is the best solution I've seen. Tomorrow I'll be getting a piece of 2" tubing and fabbing one of these up. I've got 2 Ariens Rocket tillers, a Troy Bilt Horse tiller, and a Craftsman tiller. All of them have stuck wheels and tines on them! Only problem with the Troy Bilt is the wheel attachment pins are on the inside, so I'll have to find another solution for those wheels. I may try using some old mower blades and making a puller that goes behind the wheel. Thanks for sharing! Subbed and thumbs up!

@@thefixerofbrokenstuff I pulled the motor on the Ariens Rocket 7. I also decided to check the points. When I started putting the flywheel back on I noticed one of the magnets out of place. They were both loose. Luckily the metal was stained where they had been. They are epoxy drying tonight. I started on the pullers this afternoon about 4. I'll finish them up tomorrow. Thanks again for the tip/design!

Let the poxy cure three times longer than the instructions say. It's not pretty when magnets come off. G generators had an issue here while back. Not a good time.

@@thefixerofbrokenstuff Thanks for the tip. I was surprised at how weak the magnets were. Supposed to be 5 min, but it's old and was still soft an hour later. If it has not hardened in the morning I'll find my JBWELD! A set of magnets was $44 on EBAY. Apparently it's a common issue on Tecumseh.
