    Don’t forget to support your neck. Bob was only doing these exercises briefly to demonstrate them so he didn’t have support under his neck. But it’s very important because not all of us have neck muscles that are that strong and you don’t want to strain them trying to hold your head up.

      It was due to weak glutes only.
      What I figured is doing normal gym exercises, which involves developing glutes helped me a lot. Note: I never do deadlift or anything major, just simple squats are helpful, then working on hamstrings and quads and abdomen

      Any doctor just like any physio may not understand how to treat your issue. A person can just as easily say a doctor fixed their issue better than any physio

    I love doing glute workouts. I had forgotten about the one where you lay on your side, that's a great one too. Always great to warm up and stretch after too. It's very interesting how Atrophied muscles can affect so many things. I've always loved to work out. My sister inspired me when I was very little, and that's lasted through my life. I inspired my daughter by her seeing me workout, and I've been still working on my son to get him to exercise regularly. He has a sit-down job, so it's even more important for him to take breaks and to exercise. When I sent my other sister a video of yours she said she already follows you guys😊

    because I've been to several physical therapists, ortho specialists, etc. for SEVERE hip pain. NO ONE has *ever* mentioned

    I love all the information you two give us. I know it would take a lot of time but a video with all the best stretches from your head to your two would be so great. I would love to put it on and stretch along. Even if I can't get out and exercise I stretch. I almost think stretching is the most important thing to keep your body moving. Your two do a great job.

    I've been going to PT for 7 months weekly for left hip, lower back pain. After testing the glutes, my left side is barely firing.

    I'm a runner and your two exercises are in my routine. Also low bar barbell squats done using Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strength method will massively strengthen the glutes.

    I can’t wait to try this I have those problems from a injury I had 4 yrs again and could not find a solution. I sprung my ankle and the dr had me in a boot to long and didn’t want to put me in therapy cause of my age. They told me I will bounce back when I final took it off I walked with a leap. Then I got a lot of weakness in my knee, hip and lower back. I’m a cosmetologist so I’m always on my feet so I really hope this works for me.

    Thanks for the informative glute tips guys. I walk 3 miles a day and make sure I engage my abs by holding them in tight towards my spine,and engaging my glutes by tightening them with every step pushing me forward. I find this very helpful. I also engage my glutes with each step going upstairs, pushing through the heals and tightening the glutes with every step up. Abs and glutes are everything when it comes to a strong back.

      @@agoddesstouch4910 i started sitting then getting up from a chair. The difference being really flex your ass and hamstrings before you get up or sit down. It takes all the pressure off your knees and strengthens the muscles so you can heal. Took me 6 months.

      @@agoddesstouch4910 they showed an exercise machine they have for knees where you sit down and move your foot forward and back. I just mimick that exercise without the machine and it works great. When I do it I do it on carpet with socks on so theres some resistance.

      Yes, you end up hyperextending at your lumbar spine if hip flexors are tight

    my only issue w/ these exercises (except the clam shells) is that for many of us they are going to be working the hamstrings more so than the glutes b/c we don't know how to activate and recruit our glute muscles : (

    I do that last exercise in a standing position and it really works. However, my hamstrings cramp easily and this exercise causes some discomfort at times.

    Alas I had an unstable fracture to my fibula with talar shift. So needed an operation two after the accident. I had to keep my leg up above my heart for 8 weeks. Also non weight bearing for 8 weeks. Now walking but my left butt isn't engaging like my right butt.

    I fell down, and ever since I can’t seem to get anyone to be able to help, it’s like my nervous system is hyper sensitive now, my hips are swollen and I can’t ride in the car it just hurts to much, and I’m sleeping In the recliner as my ribs pop out if I lay down...really weird symptoms....I had limes disease and the COVID so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it....anyways I’m looking for chair exercise for,the hip....I can’t lay down 🌺

    Anyone have knee pain when doing bridges?

      yes, if it's on the side of the knee (on the outside) it could be your IT Band causing the pain. Could be all sorts of things causing it, possibly weak glutes (to my knowledge). I found that turning my feet out slightly and moving them slightly further apart helped with the knee pain. I prefer the 'glute pump' exercise since it seemed to isolate it quite well without the knee pain

    I (and most of the men in my family for generations) have had flat butts all of our lives. Always had to use belts or suspenders. Only one brother had a "nice butt" per the (then) wives....

    These two. Cards, the both of them. Nothing like a little comedy in trying to help people understand that exercise is NOT a punishment, but a way to keep from being so darn old, so darn fast! I'm hoping for another ten years. I'm 70 and want those years to be productive.
