Student Gaza protests: more than 40 encampments on campuses across US

- After students at Columbia University set up pro-Palestine encampments on their campus, at least 40 pro-Palestine protest camps have emerged nationwide, following their lead.
Students have pitched up tents, protesting against links between their universities and their Israeli counterparts and companies, calling on them to divest. Several of the demonstrations have been met with violence by police who used force to break up the camps and arrest students.

there is no genocide. We will study how well Israel is doing in Gaza in the following centuries. Their urban warfare is A ROLE MODEL , as is their culture. The International Court recently said there is no genocide.

Shouldn't be a problem since so many people of so many nationalities and backgrounds support Palestine. I’m 67. Anyone around my age knows we we kind of a floater generation…..to young or too old for all the big events.
That being said…not only do I believe these students are right, most of the people killed in Gaza since the start of this were born in captivity.
I believe in their right to protest and am encouraged by it.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition also said in the release that “without a flag, we cannot sail” and accused Guinea-Bissau of being “complicit in Israel’s deliberate starvation, illegal siege and genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.”

I must say from the outset, I admire students and faculty protesting against despicable Israeli crimes in Gaza and unwavering US support for the criminals.
However, these protests will not halt Israeli crimes, or the fact that the US aids and abets the criminals. In the age of cell phones (that everyone has) working as cameras and internet spreading the footage all over the world, these protests serve a different purpose. The footage of their brutal suppression across campuses in various states reveals the true colors of the American “democracy”. No regime existing today that the US officials label “dictatorship” treats its populace in such an arrogantly brutal way. The masks are off, and that’s what these protests achieved.
