Automatic Monster Murder Machine (Minecraft)

Though I posted this video at the same time as the animal killing machine, this one was made much earlier. In this I experimented with the light switching, which I perfected in the animal killer. I used the floating lava design on a whim after seeing it in some video with a really bad collector. It's the only time I've ever gotten my machine ideas from someone else; everything else was independent experimentation. I don't think it's very future-proof and went with drowning only for the animal killer. I'm not going to bother backporting the drowning trap to this machine until it breaks.

There is a mod that lets you craft spawners with 4 iron, 4 mossy cobblestone, and 1 item that the mob drops ( creeper-gunpowder, cow-leather, zombie pigman-cooked porkchop, etc.)

@sleepydude129 You do get drops because the lava that kills the mobs is suspended in midair and the items fall underneath it.

@parfeite Water and creepers and spiders and zombies go Everywhere. They don't go off unless you go inside while it's on.

@MrMinerdog no in minecraft pre-release 5 you could but in 1.0.0 you cant pick up mobspawners or ice with silk touch, and anyway even if you did pcik up mob spawners in pre-release 5 and you still have them in your 1.0.0 game they become pig spawners as soon as you place them :P

@MrFrisbee123 You don't. He probably used a map editor, like MCEdit (I'd say an inventory editor, but I don't know of any that lets you give yourself spawners that spawn anything besides pigs).
