2002 YZ250F Issues Cold Starting

In this video I am diagnosing a 2002 YZ250F with issues cold starting. in this video i tear down the carburetor and inspect/clean it. Make sure to stay tuned for the next video where I install some new goodies!

Yz250f 2002 starting procedure. 1. Pull the choke, 2 give it two pumps on the gas, set piston to top dead center, pull the decomp lever and move it a hair after tdc, then kick firmly. 9 out of ten it will start first or second time.

Did it work? I have an 04 YZ250F, fresh rebuild, rings didn’t seat right im assuming. Hard as all hell to start and when it does it smokes pretty bad. seems to go away when warm so it could be the stem seals.

My sub frame bolt isn't coming off but managed to get the carb on this 02 out and it was rebuilt when it was back on my 01 and well I haven't tried kicking 30 kicks at a time because I'm scared already cause has low compression but yeah seems none the choke works but the bike keeps popping real loud starts but won't idle but could be anything as the original carb on the bike was destroyed had leaks and claps and shit all over it holding it together and it still ran and as I said this one I got on bike was rebuilt or fixed as it was originally leaking and bad but yeah doesn't wanna keep the bike idlimg I did watch the vidoe but not to good at this stuff so any ideas before I have to pay another 190 to get it looked at?.

I have this year bike and all that time you took removing everything but the engine, you do not have to remove, (frame, shock absorber etc....) you can get it out much easier not taking off 85% of the things you took off.

I have a SU-27 and the engines just will not start. I turn on electrical power (RShift+L), then Lights (RCTRL+L), then close cockpit (LCTRL+C), then I ensure that thrust/throttle axis is closed. I attempt to start engines with (RALT+Home) and (RCTRL+Home) and they will NOT start. I tried inverting the throttle, slider, etc. and nothing works. Maybe in your next video you can maybe give it a shot because I’m frustrated and can’t get this thing to start, thinking of scraping it…

Hey bro did you just spray pain the original kick lever you had on this bike or did you have a newer model lever im looking for a nice black or blue one to put mine but supposedly they aren't for anything under 06 was yours just spray painted or did you have a newer model kick lever on it!???

That model sucked race gas helps do not touch throttle. Follow start process. Check flute bowl for water.
