No 80 thousand dollars worth of tools. Your videos have give me some hope of turbo my 98 prelude without a tune, just injectors and fuel pump. Here's the quick, it's an automatic. They get a lot of hate in the prelude community because of the transmission. I asked for some advice for a turbo in a prelude chat a while ago, and i thought they were going to come and burn my car by the responses I got. If one of those strings were to get caught up in one of the pulleys you would be injured for sure. I know that you weren’t hanging all that far down but it’s still a good practice to not allow hanging strings and such. Same goes with metal rings on your fingers, as well. It only takes one time to become complacent and it’s game over!!! I just want to make sure you’re safe, my friend. Cheers from Texas, mi amigo!!!

do not bother with the internals just make sure the compression is even across all cylinders and send it a good tune will be much better than a built engine, in my experience and the experience of two of my friends the 3 of us all had built engines they all blew up not long after building them, i built my own engine and the other two guys paid well over 10k to have motors built and mine lasted the longest, don't build it just tune it and slap the turbo on this car is still running the same set up over a year later and he daily drives the car

Just to bring up the turbo sizing on the d series, I agree a td04 is the perfect size, but in my opinion, anything smaller isn’t really toooo worth it. it then become an issue of lack of flow/ boost output, td04 is probably the smallest turbo that will happily boost along the mighty Y4 for days. However the bigger version From Subaru the vf35? Or someshit would absolutely shit on any size eBay turbo, they’ve got the balls to boost up high & keep flow at any rpm/ speed, they’re also very responsive! But I’m pretty sure they’re not too cheap anymore, bang for the bucks can vouch td04 +1, however personally what I found with the td04 having a smaller diameter it runs out of juice in 4th/5th gear, wouldn’t be ideal for roll racing but still gonna chop fools

@@TURBOTRISTO 5psi is about a 40% increase in power. Compressor size will play a huge factor, but it's a rough estimate.
