A tip I'd give is to remember that meter carries between rounds. This isn't GG, your meter is a commitment, and while vorpal is important it primarily bolsters your existing options rather than providing new ones. A lot of characters are balanced around meter reliance for specific situations (e.g reversals, anti-projectile, long range confirms, making unsafe moves plus, etc.) and this can come back to bite you in later rounds even if you won the first with your max damage CVO route. On defense you can opt for GRD thrust instead of VO. It has a way lower opportunity cost and it's generally harder to bait. And on offense there are tons of ways to save or build extra meter if you play your cards right. Going for a reset instead of meter dumping, or CSing before a cinematic EX are the most common options, although you might have to get creative depending on your character.. It sounds greedy, but risking losing the first round for an advantage in the next is worth it in some cases.
Bit of advice though: while your meter is a commitment, it is a game of knowing when to sit on it and when you can spend it. If you're too conservative with your meter you are giving up a lot of potential oki or blockstring pressure. Winning the cycle and getting CS means you can fill your bar up a lot, so imo it's better to get into the habit of spending to do those things.

I bought the game after your last video about it. I like it alot only played for 4hours so far cause of tekken but as a dbfz player i felt myself like home. I bought unist 1 couple years ago and while i loved the game and artstyle it was just not easy to learn, i was also tryna learn a hard char (yuzu) so i dropped it really quick, the netcode was meh too. When i saw this game got rollback i bought it instantly and its cool you get the season pass for free. Im interested in playing londrekia, kuon and yuzu. I couldnt find much lobbies last time i tried to play but that was couple days before the evo announcement so im sure its more alive now. Thanks for this helpful video i cant wait to lab more in this game and learn it
I'm not certain but I think this game has advanced input like sf6. Helps me with reversal timing a lot if I press and hold the attack button just after teching
I know LK hates Faust, but I think it would be funny if Faust was able to cancel his Item super by holding P in the same way he eats his Items, but instead of eating the first item he gets, he just stacks all of his items on top of each other and eats them all like a giant, oversized Scooby-Doo sandwich. Then you’re able to shoot out multiple items (the only time you can store multiple items in Faust’s item inventory) individually with 22P, but if you eat another item, you will unfortunately delete all of the items in the inventory you have.
The netcode has been fixed on PC. I’ve been having plenty of stable matches there, no issues. The port itself is still not great. The biggest remaining issue is that the input reader on PC feels scuffed compared to the one on consoles. There’s an input wrapper you can install to fix it, but it’s still annoying, so I’m hoping that gets patched as well down the line.
@@foxof42 Can you say more about the input wrapper? I tried to find it through a Google search, but no luck. I haven't played the game on console, but I have been having some input issues which I assumed were my own fault, so if there's a way to improve the input reader on PC I'd be grateful to have that installed
@@NickJJUI posted this for someone else on a video for the first game, so I'll copy-paste the same, since it applies to this game too: I know this is old, but the game has a design flaw when it comes to analog input, that seems to have carried over a bit to UNI2 as well. Basically, it reads digital inputs (like the dpad) properly, however, when it comes to analog inputs, the diagonal input range is very narrow compared to horizontal and vertical, so your diagonal jumps and motion inputs may not register in game sometimes. This is observable by turning on input history in training mode and comparing the inputs of dpad with that of analog stick. This can be corrected on PC though, using an external software called "xinputplus". It lets you do a variety of remapping and tweaks to USB controllers, so you can fix broken controls in old games and such. For this game, simply map dpad to analog and vice versa, and set "digital-to-analogue" ratio at 40, 45 or 50. Then, since your analog stick will now give digital inputs to the game, this issue is solved, and since dpad isn't designed to give analog inputs by hardware design, the analog inputs from the dpad go into the game with the input range of digital inputs as well.

Is the PC Port still trash? I heard the game was unplayable online on the PC port.
