This style came out in da 80's when break dancin began! I tried doing my shoes like this but never came out right. U guys r lucky for CZcams nowadays but I'm still glad we didn't have all this technology in my days!!
@irvin- You can do any of our patterns without Lace Anchors. The Anchors just make it simpler, more comfortable and you don't have to constantly re-adjust because your laces are locked in place.

Yes it should work fine, the key is to have a solid bar lace done first, that is where Lace Anchors will really help. Test fit the bar lace and make sure you like the fit, then finish the checkerboard pattern. If your bar lace is not secure and solid, then yes it will start to loosen up and the pattern will distort pretty quickly.
There are others, but this is the only one worth looking at imo. LOVING the lace anchors, when I get shoes worthy of doing the weave I'll be getting a set. Thanks for the tut!

You don't have to, but hey will hold your laces in place so you don't have to keep messing with them and they eliminate the discomfort of knots or laces shoved in your shoes.
Yes you can tie knots, just need a big knot for shoes like converse because the knot will pull through he eyelet. Its also a pain to get the knot in the perfect spot. I always say it's like using a fork, you can eat with your hands but there is something to make it cleaner and easier.

Probably depends on the size of the shoes, but these are the shorter length laces from Journeys.
I'm going to say yes, although I haven't done it. Basically it would be like eliminating 2 rows on the shoes in this video. Hope that helps!

I think the eyelets on Vans are to close together. Maybee give it a shot. Lace Anchors work on Vans though.

Stretch the hole a little using the end of a pen. This will make the hole big enough. Hope this helps.

You should do online ordering for people who don't have them at a journeys near them. like i know when something is so cheap and so lite it would be hard to ship that many, but why not sell them in lots of maybe 5 or 6 via online.
