    Very convincing. Kudos to AK for developing a modeling specific product such as asphalt, then taking the time to develop techniques in order to highlight and showcase the product. The tutorial and the finished diorama should go a long way towards achieving sales goal for your products. Smart marketing and good for us modelers. Thanks.

    I've recently got Ak8013 and was excited to try it. But was a bit disappointed with the result. The overall texture was good but the colour was solid black, rather than the dark blue/grey in this video. Ak has the pigment colour been changed since making this video?

    I have just used the asphalt. It looks great but is a bit sandy to touch. Will the loose sand brush off when fully dry or do I need to seal it?

    400 grit sanding paper (or similar) would generate the same coarse surface effect of an asphalt road and is much cheaper and easier to handle...

    Hello, I bought a pot of your AK Asphalt and it's absolutely not of the same color, it's not dark grey, it's pure black, very different of what is shown on the packaging and what you show here. Is it normal ?

    I love your asphalt.. it took me a while but I think I fumigated out your formula. It’s very simple but don’t worry.. I tell no one cause I like my asphalt in dioramas. I tell everyone to buy this product.. love your stuff but I use so much asphalt I needed a cheaper version.

    Could this Asphalt Terrain be laid just as easily and levelled on a surface about 2ft x 1ft approx?

    • @AKInteractiveOfficial
      @AKInteractiveOfficial  Před 2 lety +1

      As long as you apply it in thin layers, there should be no problem. It would a little more difficult to keep the level, but not a big deal.

    I'm sorry, but this went horribly wrong.
    Real asphalt is never that smooth. There are small cracks not only on the edges, but also in the middle. The white road painting is not so nice and smooth in reality. It also has cracks and wear.
    But you sprinkled too many stones and oil stains, that's too much. And the colors don't match either. A desert soil never has such beautiful green continuous grass. There should have been clumps of dry grass scattered about, which sometimes grow out of the cracks at the edge of the asphalt.
    And the white asphalt paint must be sprayed on by masking off the entire asphalt part, otherwise an ugly strip will remain at the back of the masking tape, because the sprayed paint will also get there.
    It's good for a beginner. But a professional should not make such mistakes.
