smth i don't think is talked about enough is how well he holds on to the puck. his edgework, strength, and balance with it are unreal
He used to be, but as the time has gone on people don't see that Prime Crosby that everyone used to adore, he's still a very strong player.

Crosby is the most complete forward of all time. Forehand, backhand, stick handling, passing, strength, skating, and even defensive work rate are all that of a world class player. No weaknesses to his game (other than concussions).
we're so spoiled as penguin fans to have this guy. one of the best ever and so superstitious we get him for a relatively cheap 8.7M aav :D

Sid is amazing. I was at the game vs the Canadiens where he batted that puck in….it was great. Sid is remarkable. He’s not going through defenses quite like he did in the past but he’s so good on the forecheck and still scores amazing goals. 🥰
Thank you for this compilation. I always thought he had one of the best backhands in hockey history and this compilation certainly doesn't do anything to dispel that thought.

Very nice video, thanks! I never played hockey but I grew up in the north and followed hockey much of the time. It's nice to see some highlights and keep tabs on pro sports but they get to be a time sink to me so I watch videos instead of TV and full games, usually.

The goal against Edmonton. That’s the definition of that Lange-ism. You can see the ‘tender completely give up when Sid breaks the defense. At that point, the Oilers are no longer the opposing team; they’re spectators just like everyone else.

After crunching the numbers and factoring in everything, I project he finishes his career at roughly 42 and 1800 to 1850 points. Doubt he'll pass Lemieux in goals, but definitely in assists and overall points
All he needs is 2 more 100 point seasons to be top 5 all time points. It’s a shame how he would probably already be at 1,700 without the concussions and injuries.

Surprised you didn't show his bat in out of mid air goal against the CapiLals in the 2009 2nd Round. It was his 3rd (I think) that day in the dueling hat tricks game between him and Ovechkin. Pens lost that game, but they went on to win the Series and ultimately The Stanley Cup.
