Prostate cancer signs:
Prostate is a tiny walnut size gland present just below the bladder in men.
It produces fluid that makes up a part of semen. Prostate cancer is cancer that occurs in the prostate.
It is one of the most common types of cancer.
Many prostate cancers grow slowly and are confined to the prostate gland, where they may not cause serious harm. They don’t even need any treatment or may be minimal.
But the other types are aggressive and need prompt medical attention.
Prostate cancer that's detected early and confined to the prostate gland has the best chance for successful treatment.
What are the risk factors of prostate cancer?
The most common risk factors are:
Old age
Family history
African American men
Prostate cancer Signs and Symptoms:
Different people have different symptoms for prostate cancer. Some men don’t have symptoms at all
But if you are having symptoms, then you may find it difficult to start urinating.
Decreased force in the stream of urine which leads to Weak or interrupted flow of urine
You may experience increased frequency of urination, often during the night and there will be trouble emptying the bladder completely.
Pain or burning during urination is also a sign of prostate cancer. But, it can also be seen in urinary tract infections.
You may see Blood in the urine or semen
If there is any Pain in the back, hips, or pelvis that doesn’t go away, then one of the many reasons could be prostate cancer.
You may experience painful ejaculation and erectile dysfunction.
Here, one point worth mentioning is that As a man ages, the prostate tends to increase in size. This can cause the urethra to narrow and decrease urine flow. This is called benign prostatic hyperplasia, and it is not the same as prostate cancer.
So, keep in mind that these symptoms may be caused by conditions other than prostate cancer. Take medical advice if you have any persistent signs and symptoms.

Sadly, you won't often have any physical symptoms. My stage 4 with mets to my spine and one rib started with a PSA of only 4.23 and a slight discomfort when riding a bike. Get your PSA checked regularly and watch for trends.
Men, Go get your PSA blood test after 40. I was 62 when my test came back 8.4. I had a Prostatectomy last August 22 2022. The cancer never got out of the Prostate. It wasn't fun at all! But, I am still cancer free. My last two PSA blood tests came back negative. PSA. 0.00. Catch it early! It saved my life! The PSA blood test will save yours. Go see your Doctor. It a simple blood test. That doesn't hurt. African American men get Prostate cancer twice as much. Get tested! Shawn.

Could also be prostatitis which is not cancer, caused by prolonged sitting, highier levels of hormones, poor long-term diet, infections. Avoid highly acidic foods, red meats, sugar, eat more veggies and hydrate.

You could make those muscles tight and uncontrollable leading to indigestion, bladder becoming too tight by fecal matter, even tightening around the base of the groin and around the Urethra which can mimmick prostatitis or cancer; If someone lives a sedentary lifestyle, drinks caffine and/or eats alot, or have a misaligned pelvis, they're prone to pelvic muscle dysfunctions. Most cases are women but only because of similar lifestyle or skeletal misalignment.
Avoid caffine as it shoots water out the bladder and does not let the body absorb it which could dry out muscles and other tissues in the body. Caffine is very over inflated in the media for being beneficial, but it's really not good for the cardiovascular system, digestive (too acidic) & muscles.

Hi I'm 65yrs young and for the last 14 months my psa level is 12.4. My Urologist sent me for an MRI scan and the results came back showing no cancer but inflammation and enlarged prostrate. My Urologist said i have prostatitis. I suggested a biopsy but my Urologist said not needed as their is no target for the biopsy needle as no cancer is showing. Im a little nervous as my Dad and Grandad both passed away with prostrate cancer.
I'm contemplating paying private to have my prostrate removed as its causing me much anxiety.

My PSA jumps up and down. Primary thinks it's Prostatitis. Urologist has me scheduled for a Cystoscopy next month and a MRI 2 weeks later. It jumped to a 9, 3 years ago. Took nearly a year to fall back below a 4. Went up to a 5, then back to a 3.5, then jumped to a 6.4, and last week was a 7.
I drive a lot for work and sit a lot as well. My dad did have prostate cancer when he was 75, but surgery removed it. I'm hoping it's the Prostatitis and just an enlarged prostate. But the worrying is the worst.
I had the Cystoscopy and everything showed as ok. I had a MRI and they noticed 2 "lesions" that are suspect, but they won't know for sure until I have a biopsy. Urologist told me they would call to schedule a biopsy and that was over a month ago. I'm like dang, you're going to drop this kind of info on me then disappear? I take Testosterone injections for a deficiency and they told me 7 weeks ago to stop taking them. I'm ready to get a biopsy and if it comes back positive to just remove my prostate so I can get back to the shots. I have freaking hot flashes 6-10 times a day, fatigue, and mood swings. I'd rather have the shots than the prostate lol.

I had a psa blood test last Thursday and after lowering from 14.3 to 12.5 to 9.2 now it's risen back up to 11.5😳... Appointment with my Urologist this coming Thursday. Hope he gives me a bit of confidence..
