- July 1, 2023, we organized a public gathering to kneel in adoration of Jesus Christ at the intersection of E. Market and Main Sts. in Akron, Ohio. The pastor of St. Bernard and St. Mary parishes exposed the Blessed Sacrament at St. Bernard's and quietly processed to the meeting place.
We played a recording of "Jesus Christ is in Every Book of the Bible" (recorded by a parishioner with a commanding voice) as the call to worship and after that 6-1/2 minutes processed 1-1/2 miles to St. Mary Parish on South Main St. while singing Eucharistic hymns and praying the rosary.

@@tony1685 please read your New Testament Bible. The sacraments were instituted by Jesus and they were then formally carried out by His apostles and handed out to their succesors. All of the sacraments have a clear biblical basis.
The Eucharist also known as the Blessed Sacrament is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In a Eucharistic procession last Fall, at the conclusion of a Traditional Latin Mass, the priests brought Jesus from the tabernacle of a Roman Catholic church, and together placed him in the tabernacle of a Ukrainian Catholic Church. It was such a beautiful symbol of our unity.

Good to see this but sad to see so few participating. Had a similar procession at our parish in Madeira, Oh on a very rainy day and over 500 participated.

This reminds me of the rosary march the traditional Catholic church I go to does from May 13th to October 13th through a huge park in downtown Spokane. We slowly walk around the park praying the entire 15 decades of the rosary while a priest leads to first part of the prayers through a small speaker, and the rest of us recite the second half. Ahead of the many parishioners are nuns in full dressed habits. Four men carry a large statue of Our Lady of Fatima on a platform that is above our heads. Its amazing how many people at the park see us and will have respect, some making the sign of the cross as we walk by.
We have organized (I believe) 10 Eucharistic and 1 Marian procession...excited to be having another this Friday!!... and we have encountered such beauty from those who witness it. We have had people dining at a sidewalk cafe remove their hats, the police blocking traffic make the sign of the cross, we had a woman hanging outside of her high-rise apartment window praying the Hail Mary with us, a homeless man on the sidewalk as well. We had a man park his truck at an intersection, remove his hat, and stand next to his truck head bowed. This is what our world needs!

This message is to the Sound System Technician Pierre Ferrer. Our Church could use a sound system like this for our processions. Do you or anyone at San Sabasten Parish know where you obtained this? As it is now at our Church two men,usually with similar heights, have to carry a heavy speaker on each shoulder. If we go long distances, several men have to take turns as it weighty and cumbersome for a few to carry it long term. Your help would be appreciated.

In my town the procession walks in the middle of the streets. The City Hall and the city policemen block the traffic.
Unfortunately, there are a number obstacles to that in this area. First, finding officers who are available in that there is a shortage. Secondly, the formula of how many streets you need to cross dictates how many police and each officer is hundreds of dollars even for a short procession. Finally, there are some streets that they will never close, and this intersection was one of them.

The Birthday Party begins at 7 PM allowing the candlelit living rosary to be visible at 8 PM.
Women need to remember WHO they are in the presence of and wear modest dresses and head coverings. Kneel before the Lord God your Creator. Remember 1 Corinthians spoke about the necessity of women covering their heads in Church in front of our Lord. Dress modestly in flowing skirts and dresses rather than the worldly fashion of today. Our Lady never wore skinny jeans and a low cut top, then what makes it okay for us to do that in our Lord's presence?
