Spent time in Fort Sam in 1968 in the 250th General Hospital of the 4th Army. We had a building called the Garrison, a big white building with an open bay, no individual rooms, just like 50 guys sleeping in bunk beds, no privacy at all and one big shower room... Times have changed!
Wow! I was permanent party at Ft Sam in the 80's. No doubt it was easy duty for me, but AIT students lived in WWII barracks. We live in nice two man rooms, but nothing like this! Good luck with school and your Army career. Stick it out, 20 years goes by a lot faster than you think.
My brother Max Well Karmelich is at Fort Sam Houston. I wonder if you know each other. I was there visiting about the time you made this video. We were at the PX spending time together on Williams Way.

Thanks for the vid! I am as well a 68p anticipating shipping out 👍 this is nice to see
Your so adorable 🥺 and thank you for your service
Damn, that's a 5 star villa compared to where I lived at while at Ft Sam! 100 dudes in one huge room... Yeah....
I was at Fort Sam in 1971 for AIT in 1971, our barracks were two story wooden structures built in 1942.
Things certainly have changed, but then again I went through 91A School (old Army medic MOS) back in the Summer of '73.
thanks for the video heading that way in January as a 68C
Holy hell. you have so much stuff to be attending AIT. My AIT was over 30 years ago, and it wasn't even close to this. 11B
