He is a sweetie. We keep a little patch of catnip for him in the front garden! 🤣🐈⬛
I absolutely love it!!! Perfect cottage style

Hi Tanya just so beautiful great job.
Thank you Patricia! 🌸🌸🌸
It’s actually very cool.

Looks great! I’m going to try this on my fieldstone wood stove surround! Thanks for taking the time to post this💕
My initial reaction was, no! don't paint the stone, but I have to say after seeing the before and after, I love it! It looks great and goes so well with your home now.

Love the German schmere! You are so talented. I live in a studio so I'm cramped. I rent so there's not too much I can do.

Hi Brenda! So happy to have you here! ❤️
I love it… I’m scared to do it myself. I may pay someone to do it. Not sure , but you gave me motivation!
So glad you like it. It has made such a difference in our living room!
I like your fireplace much better than the original. I would love a fireplace, but it would have to be an outside wall. I could do a corner faux fireplace. I have to think about it.
Thanks so much! I’ve seen some great examples of faux fireplaces that look amazing. You’ll have to let me know if you put one in.
Thanks for watching today!🌸
I love it❤️we are buying a house that needs some remodeling, that has a brick fireplace. It’s a flip or may keep it for rental so I don’t want to put a lot into it. Will do this treatment. Thanks
I’ve seen it done over brick and it looks so good! 💕
I have these ugly slate tiles in our entrance... I am wondering if I could do that to them?
I'm just doing this project and the groves are super deep. Now that I'm smeared the product, it's cracking. Nor sure if that happened to u
I did not have that issue. I used drywall compound at it did not crack.
What color is painted on the wood box door?
It goes good with the fireplace.
It’s Simply White by Benjamin Moore. But I always just get it color matched at Home Depot in their paint. 😁 I didn’t prime it first, so the wood underneath makes it appear darker than the wall, which is the same color. Happy accident, I guess!
Typically when using joint compound on a wall they suggest priming with a joint compound primer. Did you do that on the rock? I have a whole rock wall and fireplace that I desperately want to update. Thanks!
No, I didn’t use a primer. 😃
@@FreeRangeCottage I wonder if they have a translucent primer? I’d really create a “huge” problem if the compound started flaking or because it didn’t bind or adhere well. Have you noticed any adhering problems? Anyway, thanks so much for answering my question! Your fireplace looks so nice.
I haven’t noticed any problems. I tried it on an inconspicuous spot first. There are also other products that I’ve seen DIYers using around the Internet. 😀
@@FreeRangeCottage thanks so much for your time, and sharing!
Hope it goes well for you!
I love it !
Thanks Liz! 🌸
