- In this video we will see the Arcade Games developed by Toaplan (東亜プラン Tōa Puran?). It was a Japanese company that disappeared in 1994, but developed a lot of excellent games, especially in the Shooting (Shoot'em ups) genre, such as Zero Wing, Tiger Heli, Truxton, Twin Cobra and Out Zone. But they're not just shmups, TOAPLAN contains great gems from other genres, like Snow Bros, Demon's World. Snow Bros 2, so it's a video with a high educational value and also for the preservation of the video game.
Without a doubt, TOAPLAN is one of the best companies in JAPAN, this collection is, in my opinion, Impressive.
TOAPLAN ARCADE GAMES:
-Batsugun Special Version
-Dogyuun
-Ghox

Toaplan is a legend among game producers. From world-beater shmups to the occasional "weirdie" like Whoopee & Knuckle Bash.
Batsugun and Outzone are timeless masterpieces!
outzone is excelent, but fixeight is better
@@jinbo369 maybe but outzone is very nostalgic for me because i used to play it in the arcades as a kid and will always be one of my favorite arcade games
Toaplan were awesome
Totally agree
These “best of” action compilation videos are truly great, but they would be even better with 2P co-op action!!
I've never played any of this companies games... They look amazing, thanks for the vid!
In December 2019, Japanese company M2 annouced that in 2020 they will release every game by Toaplan (with the execption of Mahjong Sisters and Enma Daio) for consoles in Japan
Sad that Europeans wont get these awesome games then. I love Out Zone and FixEight. Both beautiful looking games.
Thanks, M8! Was looking for the name of this game forever - _My Favourite Kiddy Fantasy Game from the later 80's!!!_ *(**33:33** PYROS / WARDNER NO MORI!)*
Toaplan was known for stepping up the shooter genre. Most shooters before their games were basic generic space shooters that just used the same formula as Space Invaders, Galaxain/Galaga and Defender. When Toaplan developed Tiger Heli, it was one of the first games to not have a space theme, but rather a military theme right next to Capcom's 1942 game. The bomb attack was actually a new concept at the time and eventually would become the staple for all Shooter games. Seibu Kaihatsu drew inspiration from Sky Shark/Fire Shark with the Raiden series. Truxton had a unique gameplay for it's one the only games that I know to have continuous gameplay with no pauses in between.
The kings of the Shmups
Toaplan devs will later found Cave, which are the emperors of shmups.
I came for the Hellfire music.
you heard me.
Looking forward to seeing these on the Evercade 👍
The best of Toaplan on my list is: Ghox, Outzone, Performan, Wardner(Sega Genesis), Zero Wing(Sega Genesis), Twin Cobra(Sega Genesis), Snow Bros. Nick and Tom, Twin Cobra 2, Hellfire(Pc Engine), and Grind Stormer.
Wardner is not for the Mega Drive, its an arcade game
@@gurinhantadx it was ported.
Toaplan were the shit. Glad to see them get recognized with the Shot Triggers packs.
Very nice video! But... Incredible to have missed Flying Shark! ^^
V-Five is my favourite. Very underappreciated shooter.
Ah yes, the better version of Grind Stormer.
@@JopieHaargelthe worst*
TOAPLAN FOREVER! Now even CAVE is basically dead and it's developers are going indie (Rolling Gunner and AKA to Blue). I sorely miss Toaplan.
Thanks bro.
I discovered somes great titles with a strange childhood happiness...
Brilliant video, thanks!
This reminded me I had Hellfire for the Sega Megadrive! Seems like an excellent port looking at this clip.
Toaplan needed to make an officially licensed, limited edition mini console of some sort that plays all these games in arcade perfect mode.
You sort of got your wish!
@@futureskeletons66669
Which is?
Evercade got some of these on they toaplan collection n another collection coming soon
@@tom11zz884 M2 is porting all Toaplan games to Switch and PS4 ("Toaplan Arcade Garage"). And these will be the best versions we'll ever get of these games. So far there are 2 volumes and another one got announced recently. M2 is the gold standard when it comes to shmups ports. Quite expensive and they take their sweet time, but awesome! ^^
TOAPLAN made some of the most detailed and artistically amazing shooters!
but then tatito came along and spooiled evrything
Man I’m just dropping by to say thank you and how much I appreciate your channel and videos , thank you so much for the efforts and works you put on by collecting classic arcade’s systems and game clips to show us how many hidden gems we have missed back in days, and now because of you we can look for them and play them whenever we want, I quite enjoy your videos and appreciate your hardwork 👏🏻
Very unique artisan graphics from this company👍🕹😎
Excelente y ganaste una suscripción
I remember playing guardian at the local liquor store in Chicago when I was a kid 🤣
I hate the fact that Pipi & Bibis gets hate for being "porn", it's a pretty decent Snow Bros clone. Love it!
Ah, who can forget the "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" Zero Wing...
I know it was on the Genesis version, but whatever.
Multiple hits.....Multiple points!!
great content , thanks for sharing / if you are using RetroArch for showing these games , could you please let me know what shaders you use ?
Snow bross 2 it seems like it was made by another teem, the first one is way better, love it.just bought batsugun on the Saturn and it’s amazing.
Love Toaplan
01. OutZone / 02. Truxton / 03. FixEight / 04. Snow Bros. 1 / 05. Flying Shark / 06. Fire Shark // Other than that only played GrindStorm (Great shooter) Slap Fight (another awesome port!) And Zero Wing on the genny/genny emu, and therefore can't rate the coin-ops
Great!
Thanks!
Ese pyros tengo que probarlo.
Truxton 2 el mejor de toaplan, snow. Bross genial
What happened to Sky Shark????
I just started to play some of the newer Snow Bros. on the tablet I have here need to post a vid of that.
I have Hellfire on Genesis. Game is made for maniacs.
Batsugun !!! Twin Tigers !!! Snow Bros !!!
twin cobra best shoot of the world
Too bad I've never seen these before, would've loved playing them
i love snow bros.
Out Zone and FixEight are awesome. Beautiful looking games.
Knuckle bash!great and weird!
My favorite Toaplan game would be Twin Cobra.
Is all this list for arcade, or consoles?
All of them are arcade versions. Truxton, Tiger-Heli, Hellfire, Grind Stormer, Twin Cobra & Wardner were made for home consoles.
Voy a terminar instalando 3 front-ends entonces...
Where a heck are all these all ADSOME games
people say Treasure made the best shmups??They have no clue. This company had the better shmups ever
Saudades de Tiger Heli...
I need the OST for some of these games...
👍
R.I.P., Toaplan... :(
After Toaplan folded, CAVE was born.
Please can you keep name of game up permentaly please? makes it easier if im skipping through games i know or dont like. Cheers mate
Action 52 modeled their games after Toaplan, nothing but space shooters.
And crap ones, at that.
Problem is I’ve probably only played about half these games. 🙄
Demon’s World-Horror Story looks like an Atari Lynx game and if it wasn’t it should’ve been ported to the Lynx! 🤨
Omg!!! Pyros!! 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍 Thanks!!!!
Fire Shark is the hell
Truxton!!!!!!!! The best
Snow bros
flying shark?
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Fire Shark is probably more memorable. I like Flying Shark because the graphics are closely similar to Raiden.
flyingshark(skyshark) no? baddest
Ever wanted to beat up bellboys and doormen? Try *Knuckle* *Bash* today!
Demos world, fixeight, pipi & bibi,
Can u do sega arcade games
Missing Flying Shark?
Yes it can be, but I knew it as a TAITO game
Flying Shark is missing.
Y la bajarlo lomo ago
Wardner is the best.
More retro arcade for the switch
Slap Fight, the best game forever...
