Just gave this to my wife today and she loves it. Going from a Fitbit versa to this is a huge upgrade. She also loves using Samsung pay with it along with making calls.

This is by far the best looking smartwatch. I love the minimalistic look of it. Kind of reminds me of the apple watch design except its circular instead of square.
I liked the whole video. Everything you did for the video was on point. Now for the watch, Why does everyone pan Samsung for their wearable's? This looks all the way around.

I like these, but I'm hanging on to my Frontier because it still has Samsung Pay with MST. The watch is sometimes very slow, but I use Samsung Pay all the time and it needs to have MST. I wish they wouldn't have gotten rid of it in all of the newer watches.

I'm still using my S3 frontier also.unfortunately when I try to talk to s voice it always says I can't hear what you're saying. Just might have to pick this one up for a replacement.

Hey good review, I'm curious cause I owned the previous watch, is the spotify app any better then it was? And can you finally use the offline feature to download music off spotify and play it on stand alone mode, so not connected to your phone at all? (this feature comes in handy when working out, cause I don't wanna carry my phone). When I tried to use this feature on the watch it never worked properly. It'd be great if you did a tutorial or demo vid of this! :) thank you
Yes, I have downloaded offline music on Spotify and works flawlessly paired with my wireless earbuds. But the interface is not as snappy as I wanted it to be. But it works.
The best smartwatch for Android users for sure. I checked it out today in a store and it feels so premium, Samsung gave Apple a run for their money! (Is this how the quote is used lol) it's not as good as the Apple Watch but it's really close actually. And for the significantly lower price, it's amazing.

Royce Nevarez yes, only if they have a Samsung. If not, they can only receive messages, and cannot start a conversation

Galaxy watch with an iPhone 11 ProMax and iMessage works fine.

How does I message work on the watch??
LR I get imessage notifications and reply to iMessage like any other text. The Galaxy Watch app is on the App Store and bridges the gap between the iPhone and Watch. You can even download watchfaces from the Samsung Galaxy App Store.
I took mine back. Didn’t like that, I can’t have do not disturb on and use raise to wake, while working out. The info graphic screen is customizable enough, and heart rate monitoring is still hit and miss. It also counts calories too slow.
18:9 is real nice, I can fill my screen now and get a full view.

@@Metamine0 Note 9, the screen is slightly wider than 18:9 but usually nothing gets cut off when I expand the full screen + no cut-out.

Damn, I thought it would be the S9 Plus. Man, I miss that 18.5:9 display. Like you say, it's perfect for viewing, especially with no holes or notches

Tizen is So much faster than Android watch os
2019 and still nothing significantly better than the S3 Classic from Samsung. That's the only one that has a decent (real watch) look. (Tho there was a Huawei that looked ok)
No wonder most guys don't wear a watch and use their phone, or get an auto diver that can be used anywhere (except some formal events)

need i really go on? i guess if you dont have the money to upgrade then there is no point in scrimping to save, however thats like saying the s10 isnt significantly better than the s8 just because the s8 works.....
I have been using my s3 frontier for almost 3 years now and it's been a great smartwatch the battery is still decent and with the Tizen update it's like a new watch all over again, I bought the active 2 44mm but I returned it and bought a new open box s3 classic off ebay and the classic is awesome looking, especially when you dress up.
I liked the screen better on the active 2 it was crispier, I liked the fact it was lighter, but I prefer the 46mm size to the 44mm so that's why I returned it, I also bought the Galaxy Watch but aside from some small differences it's basically a newer s3 with a better battery and water proof so now I'm just going to wait for the galaxy watch 2 and see if that's worth upgrading, of course this is just my personal preference every one has their own style and preference.

You can make calls and message somebody with any message y want I think

I like the idea of a smart watch and I've had some. But these are just comical looking on my wrists and uncomfortable bc of the size. I wish they had 36mm smart watches. I love the idea of a smaller screen with air gestures.

@@clindevconsultant mine is about the same size, a little smaller I think. I don't own the watch but I tried it on in a store and I can definitely tell you that the 40mm version looked way too small on my wrist. The 44mm version is definitely the way to go. I'm 5'9

Are there any cons to using this with something like a Pixel ? I have a Misfit Vapor and while I really like the hardware, the software is a giant turd.

It works on phones. It doesn't work on Tizen watches like this (but then again, it hardly works on WearOS watches either).
Google Assistant does work on the Samsung watch. Search on CZcams you'll find the video. I put it on my gear S3 frontier.

Not true. The Galaxy Watch active 2 hay an improved Bixby with the real Bixby voice. Not the S Voice anymore

S- Voice is on old Samsung watches, phones, tablets, etc. Bixby is on the Galaxy watch, Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Watch Active 2.
@@kledi3817 S Voice was never on the Active. I bought the active when it came out and it always had Bixby. S Voice is on my Samsung Gears3 Frontier and my Gear S2 but those are old now

The best thing about this smartwatch is that it's not an Android watch (WearOS)
Samsung's watches tend to have inaccurate heart rate measurement. I have been using gear fit 2 pro for a while and it's just so inaccurate to measure the heart rate. I cannot find any alternative. No other watches are good enough for the Android side. So, I have to stick with it, unfortunately :(

Is it just me not find the app store or the number of apps for galaxy watch is that few.
This thing is not compatible with a lot of google services, and number of apps is so minimal that I don't understand how come tech reviewers would ever recommend this product.
This is just a normal watch with a couple of digital functions, and it is thousands of miles behind apple watch.
Not sure how many apps would you use on a tiny screen, but I do enjoy using Samsung watches for their built-in storage to play mp3's locally or to stream with its Spotify app, which the apple watch don't have. And also the thousands of round watch faces that look like real watches especially with the always on display feature which also the apple watch doesn't have.
The galaxy store is there but honestly, what kind of apps are you trying to use on such a small screen? I don't know if smart watches are made to replace the phone
@@SledgeIncTeam I just escaped from the Apple ecosystem. Everything was nice and smooth, except for the wearable device. On Apple Watch, there are watch apps for other social media apps like wechat, whatsapp, and messenger, while on Samsung and other Google watches, the matching of apps for the watch is minimal. Furthermore, the biggest issue I had with active 2 was its compatibility with Bixby and other android phones - if you are not using a Samsung phone, your watch has no natural language assistant.
Great watch but took it back to Best buy this morning. Missed the bezel and the look is very bland. Basically a round Apple watch.
A runaway success! Are you serious? Have you read the reviews of this piece of junk online? I have it and hate it. There are multiple problems with this thing. Are you a Samsung salesman? This thing sucks were really matters. It is at least 30% off on distance calculations and 20% off on step count. I've measured mine against multiple devices. I'm not alone. There are many people who say the same thing.
And still no ecg function. Are we going to get refunds at some point? Typical Samsung BS
