- Hey everyone!!
This day of shooting was a complete S T R U G G L E for me. Like genuinely everything that could go wrong.. DID!! But now I get to tell my tale..
First, I started at a BEAUTIFUL lake, with purple flowers growing all along on the side… But the noise from the nearby highway was just toooo loud for me to justify so - I went to a different nearby wildlife preserve that ALSO had a lake.
But this place was completely unkept. To the point where i couldnt find a path. So, when I hiking in I was, essentially clearing a path at the same time.. 🙃
With all of my gear (laptop, two tripods, both microphones, both cameras, clothes, makeup, etc). And by the time I got to the spot I felt would be good as a background.. Guess what 🤭 There were people hunting!!
Yes!! Gun shot ASMR is what this video would have been!! That is, had I not decided to throw in the towel and once again head back to that first pretty lake.
Which I then decided once again was too loud. I thought the freeway would be better than gunshots but.. they were both in the end just too much for me to fight.
So I drove an hour back home and, after 6 hours of trying, ended up scraping my original idea and shooting THIS inside of my bathroom.
All of that just to get an “ok” sound quality when I listened back.. So obviously had to engineer the bottoms out in order to make it sound remotely DECENT (I did my best and I’m sorry if it’s unbearable.

I once heard an ASMRtist say that putting descriptions, especially on ASMR videos, weren't necessary, which kind of put me off, because I love reading a bit of the creative process involved behind the video I'm watching. Also, I like the way you write, it's almost like reading a letter ✒️📃

I love when you do guided meditations videos! Please keep them coming! Would you consider doing a longer breath work part? I love the inhale and exhale sounds. My favorite breathing technique is called candy cane…where you inhale deep, hold it for a while at the top of your head, then exhale long. And a amazing tip for this, is during the inhale and hold, keep the mouth closed and the tongue position firmly pressed at the roof of the mouth. This is actually how we should be holding out tongues in our mouths all the time because it presses on the vagus nerve and is calming for our entire nervous system. Game changing!

This is some next level ASMR.
TIL about tuning fork therapy. Once you used the tuning forks my mind immediately got distracted from dealing with stressful work texts, so it made me curious to research about tuning forks. Also it brought back a childhood memory when my dad was still alive and he had tuning forks for checking stress fractures on his patients.

Wow Cherie you have been through alot to make this happen. If I lived next door and wasnt at work I could have carried the tree trimmers and weed cutters to dress up spot number 2. Seriously though, there is nothing wrong with this video. I realize that it is so much work that you want it to be the best it can be, but dont think that your efforts are unbearable to watch. Everyone is their own harshest critic and when I started the vid, 67,000+ had already tuned in. Probably many more now. You arent running on a Hollywood budget but yet you are doing amazing things. Keep doing exactly as you are! *hugs*

I know how it feels when you have days like that, where it just seems like someone decided not a single decision you take would be correct, everything will go wrong.
And the other thing is: since after _everything_ you went through you still managed to calm down and make this video, how about you share a little bit of that skill with us? In other words: how about an "Anger/Frustration relief ASMR video"? Does it sound like a good idea?

Ive always prefered these close your eyes type of asmr productions. I enjoy asmr as filler sound while I do other things. I know I miss a lot when I dont watch directly.
