Swing Glitch...explains why no kids in GTA.
I think the swing set glitch is the best glitch of all time.
It's because the place is called Get-a-Life, not Lose-a-Life XD.
That was definitely the best use of the 1812 overture I've ever seen.
2:20 I remember showing that glitch to my friends when the game came out. What's cool is that it keeps only the hospital assets, but the glitch puts you outside on the street. Everything is there, just with no visual. You can fight the cops, which you can't see, or steal a car, making it look like a ghost car to your friends. Still one of my favourite glitches.
I can't even count how many times ive fallen from extremely high heights in this game and lived. I remember this one time when i was playing online, someone hit me with a helicopter blade and it flung me all the way across the island and i got up just fine.

an interesting fact about the swing glitch is that the Developers KNEW about this glitch, but they thought it was so funny that they kept it in the game. i personally like this because it allows people who have not known about this glitch the ability to do it, instead of finding out it was patched
The swingset glitch have another form.
You can jump at one exact time at the swingset, and when you at the end of the jumping animation, somehow trigger the swingset boost. Now you will either go under the map, or be launched up in the air. But observe you are standing straight, because the animation didnt finish while being boosted, but it finished while you were in the air. Now, when you are a little abobe the concrete, the falling animation will occur, and then you will just roll on the ground with no falling damage. :)

Another glitch that was fun was the blender, it was a mini-game made by Machinima for dun where, if you have a friend with a annihilator chopper and you jump into the blades from a a building, you won't die from them, rather you will be flung across the map. (Or be slammed into the side of the building if you do it wrong)
The swing glitch is probably one I'd be exploiting if I had that game XD
That Swing set is so Lethal
Best use of the swingset is to take a big car, like a hummer, van or ambulance and then just angle your rear towards the middle pole whilst keeping down the reverse. It will keep you in the car and send you flying on almost every try and usually allows the car to be resused a few time depending on the distance and what you hit on the way. Best way to do it if you want to aim for central park at least :)

using the swing set and a bit of luck you can clip your self into a building which I thought was pretty cool
if swings do this in real life parks should be illegal ._.

a lesser known glitch is the locker teloportation glitch.
The swingset glitch once catapulted me on to a roof IN A GARBAGE TRUCK!
You can also hang on the swingset and be hit with weird physics. Most of the time you'll be killed instantly or near instantly, but I have one time where I was sent flying into the ocean with a chunk of my health missing.
Interestingly, the swingset glitch was noticed in editing but they kept it into test damage mechanics. A player has 100 dmg values while most vehicles have 150 the swingset does between 90-130 vals, oh and if you can get a car to explode in the air the game crashes
For singleplayer, the swingset of death works if you back your car into it, in multiplayer, it should work forwards or backwards.
It's amazing how much damage gta cars can take before they don't work anymore.

By the way, I was playing this game and on one of the first few missions(the one where you go to the laundry map), I failed. Well, I tried to go back, and it won't let me.
I remember getting a text that mentioned I failed, and I forgot to choose the option to retry. But, despite me failing the mission, it's still there on the map for me to do, and whenever I enter the map while not hanging out with another character the mission tries to start. I see the cutscene, and then the loading screen. It never loads. At all. It might as well be a crash.
Idk if this is a known glitch, but I created my own glitch where if you push a stripper into a wall in the middle right of the strip club in the one in the bohan, you can then sort of glitch your way into the wall and basically be under the strip club and you can walk around and stuff. Well, at least it worked for me on my xbox 360. But, I came up with the glitch and it works for me so I guess you can add that to the list. Also I have used a firetruck for the swing glitch and it forced me under the ground and the firetruck was falling until it finally spawned me in the middle of the street, lol. I have also used the swing glitch and my car went flying super far while I was still in it. One time I went so high up that I was almost at an apex level in the game and when my car landed, it was still able to drive, but the front left tire was through the hood of the car and my head was sticking out of the roof right about where you could see my nose lol. Also I once had it where my car that I was driving just turned invisible and I was riding in an invisible car and I couldn't see my car at all. Unfortunately I didn't have live at the time so I had no proof of any of that stuff, lol. I played the game and beat it like 10-15 times and just free played doing a whole bunch of random stuff I can think of so that made it easier to find some of the glitches I found. I am not a nerd or anything like that, it's just that I have never at the time played any game like gta4 that gives you so much freedom like getting out of cars and being able to fly a helicopter off the map so far that my health would start to decrease and then after using the health code, my helicopter would become invisible and when there were isolated thunderstorms my helicopter would look scary cause every other few lightning bolts, my helicopter would go from invisible to visible very shortly and it would look scary especially since the only thing you could see was the sky and the black annihilator that I was flying lol. Some good stuff I found. lol

I somehow did the hospital glitch without the car, more as just a random glitch in the wild. It was actually a panicking pedestrian, but I was running through the hospital doing stupid shit (What else?) and a pedestrian going against all their survival instincts ran into the corner, started running into Niko and when I decided to shoot the pest instead of him falling over and dying I went through the wall and was trapped in limbo as all the pedestrians calmed down and gladly sat on top of the cop corpses in the lobby. I wish this one could be replicated easier, because it was funny watching Niko fire a gun only to launch himself screaming through a wall before struggling in futility to lob grenades at the people now suddenly less concerned about his rampage.
If you are lucky enough, you can grab onto a fence or something you could normally vault over as you fall and live. Shame my arms don't get ripped off tho. That would be awesome lol

You can just drive against the swing instead of being in the middle of it though, that'll send you further since you wont hit anything :P

Are these glitches still in the most recent patch? I only knew about the one with the swings (not swing set).
never got to play any of it. why? simple, my xbox 360 CRASHES after the end of the opening sequence/title sequence.
