Congratulations! It finally happened! Moving is such a stressful thing. The part I always hated was having to come back to the old place to tidy up. By then, I'm so ready to move on. No, moving is not necessarily a frugal activity, but it's a smart move if it is a move to a place you're happier in. Looking forward to seeing what you do in your new place. Wishing you health and happiness in your new home.

Moving is exciting, exhausting and an adventure. We moved 14 times so far. I love your animals.

It has been my experience in many moves over time, the “new” neighbors, who pop around first whenever one moves to a new space, are the ones one needs to watch out for …they usually are the nosey ones and busy buddies who reveal themselves over time.
No signs of that so far, luckily :)

Just caught up with your big moving video Jane, been out of action with a stress fracture of my femur so totally off internet!!😡You left your mark 1 home condition in mint condition for the new owners - I do hope they appreciate it. What a huge job you achieved with upstairs and downstairs in both homes - your new home looks a little smaller but I think you mentioned that previously. Your fur babies looked gorgeous picking out their new favourite spots, the cats looked so cute. Darling star Archie really only wants to be where you and Justin are judging by those happy zoomies. Most enjoyable video, hope you are really settling in and feeling less exhausted by this. Warm wishes. 🐾🦋

They are settling in pretty well. They have been out in the garden twice - just for a short while as I am terrified of losing them!
Congratulations on your new home. I would hate to think of what I would have to do if I ever moved. My basement is a disaster. When my brother moved from a 5 bedroom house with a garage to a 3 bedroom apartment with no storage my basement took all the overflow.
Yikes! Time for a yard sale?

Your house and garden look lovely. We are planning to sell our house soon and move to a small apartment. I'm sure we will be faced with the task of figuring out what to do with all the stuff in a much smaller space. Maybe you could do a video about storage in a smaller home. I would really like to see that. Archie and the cats look like they will adjust alright to their new home. Congratulations on the new home.

When my brother & sister in law moved we went to help them and they were putting most things into storage. When we got there they hadn’t even started in was a total nightmare and very hot. So yes moving is stressful. Well done. x

I must have moved the same time as you and seeing your vlog brought all the horror back. It is quite overwhelming at the time isn't it. And so flipping frustrating when you can't find things you clearly know you have!!

Well done on the move it did look exhausting but I hope you will be happy and Archie and the cats settle in. Justin and Archie’s walk looked lovely where is that please, after years of holidaying in France we are trying to discover the east coast.
Check out Brightlingsea, Alresford, Wrabness, Manningtree - we walk all around these places and they are gorgeous
@@ShoestringJane thanks we have a Motorhome and did visit Essex between lock down as both Norfolk and Suffolk were full. Not a fan of the A12 or M25 and not many campsites either, we were based in Colchester and did visit Brightlingsea but seem to remember no dogs allowed on the beach, will put the other places you mention in my little book. We did visit Frinton and Wivenhoe my friend who has sadly passed away had family there and a little pen and ink drawing always drew me in so it was lovely to have a g&t overlooking the river and think of her
So glad you made it! I helped my brother-in-law move house about 10 years ago and tore a muscle in my back. It still plays me up from time to time!

Ouch - we had no injuries, luckily! It's about 6 miles away. Not too far.
Lovely new house! You looked very relaxed on moving day. My stress levels would be through the roof! Are the cats settling? I have read you are supposed to keep them in for at least a couple of weeks so they don’t do a runner but it can be tricky.
Thanks. The cats are a bit grumpy about being kept in, but it has been so wet I don't think they would want to be out anyway. (My stress levels were way high waiting to see if the move would happen, that by moving day I had chilled a bit)

Cats are really traumatized by moving. Mine hid under the bed for three days.
Mine are remarkably chilled now! It helps that my daughter is here and they love sleeping with her
