Hey guys! I know this video paints a sad picture, but I don't feel sad in my life. I have a wonderful community growing here, a good full time job, Molly, a basketball team, and video games along with my channel. Honestly all the hardships in my life led me to where I am today and gave me the courage and strength to persevere and I thank my lucky stars that I am who I am today, and my past helped create me. When I have a tough time or hardship now I try to think about how in ten years I can look back and say I took that in stride and tried to become a better person for having gone through it. Don't be sad about my past, help me celebrate my present! :)
I think this video helps me to better respect you as a person, now that I know your story man. When I watch drunk minecraft, you are always portrayed as the group douche, but I don't think you are man... I think if you guys were body parts, you would be the Heart, Bob would be the dick, and Mark would be the Ass.

I'm glad that you managed through all of that. I can't say that my life was as rough as yours but it hasn't been a bed of roses. In the past few years I was dealing with several deaths of family members, an end to an 7 and a half year relationship, and a whole bunch of other things. I was literally on the edge just last year thinking what's the point. Than one day after coming home from campus I noticed a scp live stream mark had done. From there I found drunk minecraft with all three of you. I spent hours watching them. You guys made me step back and I can never thank you enough for helping me. You guys were also part of the final push that made me want to do videos on CZcams. To entertain people and hope that I can make someone smile and feel better
Wade, you are such an amazing person and I feel for you. I know life is tough but you have come so far and you have nowhere else to go but up and I know you can do it. You're funny, smart, kind and an excellent guy and you are a great CZcamsr. I have nothing but the best of wishes for you and I hope you know that you, Mark and Bob have all impacted my life in such a positive way that I would love to meet you or play with all of you. You guys are a rare breed but probably the beacon of hope in an otherwise tough and bleak world.

Sky Strickland Same. I watched this a year ago but came back to revisit. I've always had much respect for him but there are so many of Mark and Jack's fans who don't so it makes me so happy to see people showing Wade some love and respect.

When I started to hear you cry and sniffle a bit I literally said at 3 am "no wade, don't cry" and my parents thought I was hiding my friend wade in my closet...

laughing is a defense mechanism a lot of people use to bury their pain, or at least hide it.
I prefer to think of laughing as denying pain the right to hurt you, but never the less I am right. I know all too well pain, and so do you. BTW, I like your channel. You seem to be growing, and I think that you're just as good as Mark. :)

I almost miss the days when people would hang with their friends and family just to play video games. Nowadays everything is online, and it honestly doesn't feel as nice. It just feels like you bond more in person than you do online :L

Garret Kish It depends who you play with. If you know some of the people you play with online personally, it can be just as great. You can also use things like teamspeak if they live on a differenct continent than where you live =).
i still play with my friends at their house and at mine, but for me its most of the time rather than playing online
I lost my mom when I was 11, on July 25th it'll be 9 years without her. I don't think I've cried this hard in a long time. I love you, Wade!

My grandmother died from cancer in 2013 just a few weeks before Christmas (which was also her birthday and she would've been 70). It's hard to believe that in nearly three years so much has changed in my life (some good but more than my family's fair share of bad things as well) that actually wouldn't have happened if she were still alive.
My dad died of cancer when I was 2

Hey Wade! I've been watching your videos after seeing you on Mark's channel (Which I'm sure you've heard a million times before.)..... I just wanted to give a shout out after this one. If you're still reading the comments on this, I'm just glad to see that you after all that did find Molly. She seems like a sweetheart! Your life reflects mine and my bf of 8 years in a lot of ways. We both grew up around alcoholism and unfortunately he did get that Poly Sci degree and got no further than you did with Philosophy! You're even the same graduating year. :) He even did well on the LSAT and just couldn't go through with the same path after some of his own life drama around his family.. I just dealt with more of the family troubles that have really resonated with me, and also held a lot of guilt.
It's really amazing how so many stories can be so similar and so sad, and turn out so well. We're currently still trying to make ours work out. Stories like yours are an inspiration to keep moving forward and try and keep making things get better.
Just remember that the guilt is not yours to take; it isn't anyone's. You're a better person for what has happened, and you, through hard times, will be stronger because of it. You're both amazing people. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. :) From two 1989ers as well, See ya!

Callmekevin got hit by a car and had multiple stomach problems and wasn't able to finish school because of ulcers.
Perhaps CZcams community is better at understanding then the rest of the world so hurt people can feel better on this then outside

Alcohol ruined my family too. My parents got divorced and my dad moved out 2 weeks before my 7th grade year started. Wasn't a great time. The last time I saw or talked to him was June 2012, 4 days after my birthday.
Sadly, life's a dick sometimes, but luckily there are always the good times and good memories.
My dad moved out because of alcohol too.

I'm sorry to hear that James, you sound like a good person and I know how it is when one of your family members have a drinking problem. My mom is an alcoholic, and its tough, I was only 9 when I found out what was going on with her because at that age I never understood what was wrong with her until my dad told me. 8 years later I'm still dealing with it. The saddest part for me is watching my mom and dad's marriage fall apart after 22 years of marriage they have shared. I guess that is what makes us who we are though, in a way we learn from and we become better people out of it. I wish you the best in life James, and stay strong man, it will get better.

You know Wade, you've been through a lot of the things I've been through. Specifically the fiance thing, over a year ago I met a girl (She's French and I'm English) and we figured we loved each other so we was planning on getting married - she never cheated on me but we broke up because of various problems, but we decided to stay best friends instead. Along with deaths of family and friends, like about 3 years ago I lost my niece because of a miscarriage and that was hard to deal with. I know some of the pains you've been through dude and for that - I truly respect you man. I really do.

But reflecting on you talking about your love for boats on the Distractible podcast, and connecting it to this, is intense. I had no idea you dealt with so much, Wade. Back in March 12th of 2014, I stumbled on your Twitter post sharing Patrck's stream, whom I ended up being a moderator for. After a long hiatus, I saw him spending a lot of time with you & others. I always appreciated the laughter & joy that you shared, & saw how inspirational you are to many. Without you, I would've missed out on many good memories & from getting to know many others. Although we don't know one another, I deeply thank you for everything you've done for others & for myself, so that we may enrich our own lives. You deserve so much in return for the good you've given others. I hope all the best to you, Molly, & everyone/everything else. You both help make life shine brighter.
