Most of us may be heartbroken behind Bobby being ousted, but so much greatness came from it! All of them in their own endeavors have us so much music to add to our life’s soundtrack that it kind of overshadows the initial firing. They are a timeless group whether to together or separate.
I’m happy bobby was voted out, the world got to witness his full greatness as a solo entertainer. Brother could sing, rap, dance & act. IMO he was the most successful he just got caught up doing bad shxt on the side.
@@christiancharles2866 I'm annoyed by that. He did background vocals for BBD and even did some of Bobby's vocals when he was too high and drunk on his albums but he didn't get the success as a solo artists that he deserved. Even Mike admitted that they didn't wanna help him on his album despite him doing vocals on theirs. However, I think his personality is not solo status, he's better as lead of a group. EMMoney8806 After watching the movie I kind of got a better understanding on why Bobby started rebeling against New Edition so hard. He had to play the background of a group he clicked up and started. And although they were making hit songs, they were getting robbed by the managers and handlers in the process. Not to mention that they were reminding him that he was the hard headed street kid from Boston by dropping him back off in the projects after the success of there early albums. It was Bobby's prerogative to do all he did to get voted out but it was damn sure worth it for what was to come to him.
How do you explain him STILL fucking up the choreo, being unprofessional, and not showing up to shows at almost 50 years old? Bobby is entitled and narcissistic. They are truly Bobby's friends. They put up with sooooo much BS from him.
Lets be fair and understandable. Bobby Brown was the hard headed rebel of New Edition and was truly and asshole. However, You cant expect a person to let fame change them too much if they are still getting dropped off in the projects. If Bobby didnt rebel and stuck with the bubblegum image New Edition once was, We never wouldve gotten the classic Don't Be Cruel and who knows if BBD, Ralph and Johnnys career wouldve taken off the way it did. God bless all 6 of them for there legacy and timeless music.
They looked so rough here, which is just one year from their Video Soul interview with Donnie Simpson. So they are all 17 going on 18. But man they just look like they've been through it from just one year earlier.
I think it's the fault of their mothers, if they have gave a second chance to Brooke Payne, they didn't have another manager and Brooke didn't want a lead singer.
I don't blame Bobby as bad 80's fashion im not about to be dressing in a certain way to portray a image I'm not. Either I'm going to be who I am and you accept my talent through my voice or there's no business endeavor that we need to make. Bobby leaves the group and revolutionizes R&B by being one of the founders of the New Jack Swing era.
Eh. Part of being in a group is compromise. If you can't do that, then you shouldn't be in a group. If Bobby had problems with the image and attire of NE at the time, he should have argued his case in a persuasive way to convince his bandmates and management that his ideas were better. My guess, though, is that a teenage Bobby was low on diplomacy. He probably had no better ideas and instead just threw temper tantrums and stubbornly refused to go along with what he didn't like.
Jump & Shoots plans were to drop NE & have Ralph as a solo act. They were using NE to propel Ralph, but Ralph didn’t want to be solo until this time in this video. The movie doesn’t really show how BBD & Ralph’s relationship changed after Bobby left. Bobby didn’t want to be lead he just wanted more parts, Ralph wanted to share the stop light but Jump & Shoot wouldn’t have it. Then Mike fires Jump & Shoot & MCA now want let Ralph go solo. Ralph didn’t go solo until the group left him. Both Johnny & BBD dropped before Ralph.
DTG 143 tall just saying that cuz of the movie I hope y'all know the dates were mixed just like how the orchard park party was in 85 and Bobby's son was born before that. But in real like Bobby's son Landon was born in 86 after the party. We don't know which happened first
They were doing it on purpose. It's clear it was rehearsed, imo. Notice the way the three on the couch simultaneously looked at the other one to end it :31.
Leigh Burton that was just from the movie, they voted him out because of how crazy he was becoming and that night all he did was throw his own Mike in the air and walk off stage when she changed to the song while he was singing Mr.Telephone man
No that's from the movie not real life. In real life Bobby kept on singing Mr Telephone Man during a concert after the song was over before throwing his mic in the air and walking off stage leaving the other 4 to finish the show. The fellas were pressured into voting Bobby out because Bobby had been acting out by doing sexually explicit dance moves-taking off his clothes tarnishing their clean cut boy next door image to fans in their management's eyes.
They all look tired, emotionally drained, and/or stressed in this video. Very low energy compared to many of their other interviews. They did, however, mention that they were working around the clock, so maybe that's why.
Ralexis Lively They literally have bad skin here, probably from bad diets and bags under their eyes. They look gawdy, and tired, like you said, low energy, all of them on this interview.
0:42 the way the interviewer asked them what happened to Bobby brown I'm thinking they probably was fighting backstage before he got kicked out and before they started this interview.

It was either their career or bobby.

No, a year. Johnny joined the group in 1987. The public just didn't get introduced to him as the groups newest member until 1988.
