Takes me back to my high school days (87-91). We didn't pay attention to the types of shoes we wore or the uniform we played with. We just wanted to play sports. We just wanted a chance. Great movie

No matter where I go as an educator and Senior Army Instructor (SAI), at all my JROTC schools I taught or teach at, I must share this movie "McFarland, USA" with my Cadets. I want them to see and understand that they can do anything they put their minds, spirits, and souls to doing, and don't quit! I encourage them to continue, to push themselves, and don't give up! I encourage them that they are our future, and we need them to lead our country to better and continue to implement great things in America.
Well done. The teachings I learned in NJROTC have helped me throughout my lifetime. I still catch myself and my friends who were in NJROTC with me marching on step when we hang out. 😂 My best friend who was my XO in NJROTC is currently a Major in the USMC and has been thinking about going back to where it all started for us and becoming an SNSI once he retires. I never joined the service but like I wrote before I never forget. Keep up the good work with your students. 🫡
