Really helpful review. I'm new to Flylow, but these bibs have good reviews. Seeing all of the features was really helpful. I think this is the bib for me.
Thanks, they're great!
Love this color too! I'm gonna have to cop it!
You should!
I have been wearing FlyLow since they first came out, yes as telemark brand. The pants held up through 7 seasons of ski patrol, 5 seasons of teaching and are still doing great. The sizing may not be for everyone and I usually go a size smaller than usual.
We see a lot of older Flylow models still around here in Stowe--a great testament to the durability of the clothing.
I picked up a flylow bib for this season and love it. I didn’t even know the brand when I was buying and just went off what fit I liked the most in the store. I find that the zipper on the side and the suspender buckles are nice for someone like me who is a little bigger. I like that theres a fly that unzips. That’s something bibs from other brands don’t give you which is a huge con imo. I like the range of motion I get in them as compared to pants. The insulation and venting is adequate as well. It’s not their high end model but it still has many of the same features. I find that the large fits me quite well, I’m 190 and 5’11”.
Thanks for sharing! Great feedback!
Just picked up a new pair of Bakers on sale at REI. Can vouch for Knight Jacket as a cheaper alternative to the Quantum.
Nice!
Nice review. What midlayer jacket did you have on during the review? Looks like it vents well. Curious. Thx.
I am also curious about this!
It's Orage
someone mentioned in the comments that the midlayer is an Orage. Can you confirm? I can't find anything like it on the Orage site
Older Orage. You will not likely find it on their site.
Looking at these bibs right now in size medium. Do you think the short version would be better for a 30.5 inseam?
Bibs are tough. Depends on how much you like to tighten the suspenders and how low you want your cuffs to ride!
@@SkiEssentials Ended up with the medium short and they are perfect! Enough adjustment in the suspenders for more or less length. The material looks really durable 💪
What size pants are those? Large regular? Large short?
Regular Large
Is this insulated or just shell jacket?
It's a multi-layer shell, but there is no insulation.
Thank you.@@SkiEssentials
what are your mid layers?
Depends on the day!
@@SkiEssentials Same question, but more direct, what is the midlayer you are wearing in the video. I want it!
@@bradlawrence6323 Ha! It's an older Orage micro puff layer. Not sure if it's current enough to find the name.
Jacket seems sweet but that color is awful.
Thanks for the feedback!
@@SkiEssentials I love the color
⛷😍
Oh boy is this great ⛷❄️
Haha. I got $.50 in my pocket who knew
The pocket inside you don't know what it is for, is for your medicine/smoke!
