Thought I'd seen most of the Combat episodes on You Tube but don't remember Vendee. Looks interesting n intriguing. Kudos for upload. New subscriber because of this episode. Anticipating ur next one. Peace
"Carl!!..dos ciggeretti!" at 20:17...LOL!!..Robert at 67, love it..as he hands it through the truck bed curtain. Great show for boys in the mid 60's...an actuall interesting Rick Jason episode, it's not all Vic Morrow accolades 'ya know..sometimes it's more important to get enemy position information back to the frontlines than killing a 10 or 20 Germans in a patrol skirmish. Liutenant Hanley following the trail of blood on the rooftops..
Vic Morrow gets most of the accolades in the series, but Rick Jason is excellent in his apearances, a Robert Taylor type, and with that distinct and similiar voice. An absoulutely perfect fit as a 2nd. or 1rst. class liutenant..Robert at 67.
Combat was by far the greatest TV action series that has ever been on TV. Just look at the rubbish on TV now live 'Say yes to the dress', The Batchelors, The Great Race etc etc etc. All just rubbish . Even tho Combat is 60 years old it is still the greatest. But i wonder how the orchestra can be in all the different places & not miss a beat. By the way, i used to watch this on TV back in the 1960's with my father who was a returned serviceman & he also loved the series.
That Kraut agent is pretty spry for being so wounded . Why the hell didn't he just walk down stairs to where the rest of the Krauts are and he'll tell ranking officer what was going on ???? Dumkauf !!!!!
La P,lace Vendee = Market Place # 9 I wonder if the house number is here ment as an English-German word gamble. After all the German Nein, also No, is pronounced lkie the English number Nine. 24:00 Even though I heard about folks trying to turn medical alcohol into digestable one - that would be the best way to get blind.
I've watched every episode from S1E1, & this is the 1st one that I just don't understand. I'm still not sure what this ones about...apparently 2 soldiers, 1 German, 1 American, but what's the point? Maybe I missed something?
I could not figure out 1. why the wounded German was in the room alone and untended by any of the other Germans in the town; and 2. why he scrambled all over the rooftops after escaping from the room. Why didn't he just go out into the street and tell one of the others what he had learned? Kinda bizarre
Funny slight smirk on Lieutenent Hanley's face at 1:21 as Sargeant Walsh complains about mission.

Pues porque no aprendes un poco de inglés. Como no …
Yep. Rick spoiled it for me. I expected Lt. Hanley, when I went into the Marines ang got Lt. RICHY RICH
The look on Hanleys face while the 2 German solgiers are slugging booze in the pharmacy...LOL!!
Good episode with Rick Jason as Liutenant Hanley. trying to communitcate with limited French with the kid. Robert at 69.
OMG that's "Joe Riley" from One Life to Live (Lee Patterson as Capt. Howard)! Love seeing who pops up in these old shows.
also played Dave Thorne in Surfside 6, one of my favorites!

Rick Jason served in the U.S. Army air corp in WW2, passed in 2,000, Sounds like a grizzeled old WW2 vet.
Ridiculous plot of pure fantasy!!! Lt. Hanley.......one man army and Commando extraordinaire. Ha!
did not hide that Jeep very much !!

Wenn schon, dann DUMKOPF
Same dog that was in the Walking Wounded" LOL
Yeah
they finally got a German motorcycle to film.
One of the silliest episodes i've seen in this series.
Rick Jason in real life spoke french and spanish
I agree this is indeed the silliest episode.
Bummer.... woops and he dropped his large-ass cell phone and busted it! ("can you hear me now??)
J.P. Stone Are you quoting a Verizon commercial, or Sprint?
das radio ist kaputt
Loved it, the German officer kicked the drunk soldier in the ass.

What is the wounded guy saying to the boy ? The boy talking loudly throughout the scenes makes it unrealistic.
😳😳 if only cage had been in this episode ❗❗
15 rnd mags instead of 30's for crying out loud.
Ww2 hadonly 20's until very late in the war, same for bayonets on the carbine.
