Most audio equipment companies in Japan put the quality in there products before the name went on .That's why
and then South Korea stole their technology, starting in the mid 80s, and made the products cheaper as the cost of living in Japan was skyrocketing. Sounds fine, free market forces, right? WRONG. All done with government subsidies and corruption as a national project. Talk about socialism. Without government intervention, there would be no Samsung and LG winning awards for their products. They both began their reputations off the backs of the Japanese electronic innovators, with the key ingredient- the massive government money infusion. Difference between Korea and what China did and is doing...is that Korea put a massive premium on QUALITY. Other than that, their theft of intellectual property was no different than China's.

From the Golden Age of hi/fi Stereo. Spend the most you can if you find any of these.
One thing of advise - belts dry, brake, and you will find yourself with a fantatsic turntable and a greedy distributor who asks $ 200 for vintage drive belt.
My advise - go Direct Drive.

You can't afford it.
Why does your video suddenly start advertising a Technics TT at about 1:30? And the zooming in and out from each of the 1200’s packing co potent sis very off-putting.
Total overkill. This stuff just gets silly. I thought my Pl-L1000 was overpriced. lolol! No way man. You get to the point where you're just throwing money away.
