- This is part 2 of the Tokyo Hifi Shopping series.
Audio Union is the largest specialty hifi chain in Japan with seven outlets. I visited their main outlet in Ochanomizu.
They carry new and used gear including ACCUPHASE, Luxman, Esoteric, TAD, McIntosh, Bowers & Wilkins, KEF, Magico, Sonus Faber, Marantz, Denon and lots more.

I have never seen so much Hi Fi and accessories in on shop very impressive
Audio Union is a must stop if you are an in Tokyo. The shop I feature in my next video have more floors and even higher end gear. Subscribe and you will be notified when its released
Are prices much lower compared to US ?
@sylvio1980 For the Japanese made items, generally yes. For non Japanese brands it varies due to pricing strategies, exchange rates so it’s best to check.
Very interesting. I enjoyed that.
Thanks for subscribing
Ik ook top , kan het ook in Nederland. Heb genoten wat ik gezien ..
I love how you're shooting a video while there are no phone or camera signs posted on the shelves. You got permission first right?
You should see Part 3. He was asked to stop filming in another shop. What a scene.
Audio Union was kind enough to let me video, they plan to use it for their website blog as well.
Phasemation does great tube amps and Dela is the domestic name for Melco. Thanks for the video, it was entertaining to watch.
Thanks for the encouragement 😁
All the used gear...it's sublime!
Yes especially those lovely Japanese gear 😍 There’s more to come in other shops on my upcoming video. Subscribe and stay tuned!
Love Japanese Women and their Hifi Stores!
😍 Thanks for subscribing.
Shocking amount of quality gears. I would spend the whole day in there….sadly no proper listening room though
Thank you for subscribing. There is a listening room on level 3 (10:30 onwards) where I had a nice time comparing B&W, Sonus Faber, TAD and KEF speakers
❤❤❤❤❤I love audio super sir
You are welcome. Thanks for subscribing ❤️
merci
Glad you enjoyed the video 😁
The Dela brand is making network switches and music library/servers. It's Melco in overseas markets.
Thanks for sharing! Much appreciated 👍🏼
The first set of speakers at the entrance were the Bose 77
Thanks for sharing. I’ve not seen them before
I would be like a kid in a candy store.
Check out my other videos in the playlist for more “candy” stores 😄
Can these stores get 120V US version audio equipment if special ordered?
No, they only sell for Japan domestic market
Been to Audio Union in Hon-Atsugi-Atsugi, Sagamihara, Machida and Shibuya/Shinjuku.
Was able to buy/pay and return after 7 days. Depending on the shop was treated well to poorly.
I’ve been to the one in Shinjuku and it’s much smaller than the Ochanomizu store. Which was your fav store among those that you visited?
🙏🙏
Thank you for subscribing. ❤️
So are you going smuggle an accuphase from Japan?
I wanted to bring everything home. 😭
@@Giulia8017 but the voltage is different
Well if you don’t mind then step down transformer is available. There are really good quality ones in Akihabara, I will share in a later video where to find them.
@@Giulia8017 but will the step down degrade the sound?
Adding something to the power supply chain can have some effect of course but whether it’s audible is another thing.
If you think the prices are high, remember, so is the rent. It’s JAPAN!
With Yen at current low rates, there no better time to buy
такое впечатление что все дизайнеры аппаратуры вымерли в 80х годах прошлого века. Печаль...
😅
I was just thinking the same thing last week, before I saw this.
价格不合理的旧货,即使转换成价格,甚至比新货还贵
expensive entry level gears.
The huge used selection will be a great option if you can’t afford new.
Disappointed. Most of the time only heard you whispering and did not know what I was looking at. A great video but It was like watching a silent movie.
I was filming as discretely as possible to not disturb the shop. It’s also considered rude in Japan to speak loudly in public.
@@Giulia8017 🤫🤫🤫
You're not even supposed to take photos or record on their premises and get complaining that the voiceover's subpar? Be lucky to enjoy the footage that he was able to sneak out.
Thanks for your appreciation and feedback for improvement.
@@thekenthouse6428 This should have been stated at the beginning of the video so we would know. Pretty simple isn't it. We were not born in Japan. 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
I am from india..can i get shop's contact no?
You can email them (contact in their website). Please note they don’t send overseas
