Heres a POV of the race through the eyes of an average racer, final place 53rd and took me an hour. Unfortunately the GoPro died about 2 minutes from the finish. Hope you enjoy
If you look at the best pro´s everything looks easy. If you see a "normal" and good MTB rider it looks a whole lot different. Never the less, you did a fine race and finishing 53rd is in my eyes a big achievement. Chapeau Monsieur!
i have a name for a lot of the features passed along the way. jesus ock, tool shack. peanut gallery. franks keep. timber line trail. bridge to no where. hedge row row. bridge over bubled water. hail mary drag strip. stairway to heaven.. mirk wood. town of dogs. more. congratulations on your run. don't pay attention to monday morning QBs
Thats a good idea, yeah they are frustraiting. its a very shoulders out race where shouting at the guy in front is common. Being new to the race i wasnt quite ready for this
"Cautious riders," were you talking about that guy with the black and white striped towel on his back? He was a hazard to other riders and should be banned from racing until he can show that he has improved. And there was one guy who broke down and he had his bike on the course while he was fixing it. I'm shocked that nobody yelled at him that he was going to kill someone if he didn't get out of the path.
I bet you couldn't buy a heat or ice pack to put on your sore balls for 1000KMS after that race! Great video though nice and clear and shows just how difficult these type of races really are for those without talent, skill or natural ability get your ice/heat packs before the race your going to need them.
Having never ridden this or any race. But I've watched lots of videos of it. One you ride to slow and walk to much. Next if you don't pass someone when you catch them when you can you're just ridding down the mountain. But keep it up and try to start closer to the front and forget you have breaks on that bike for a good part of it.
Saying “Having never ridden this or any race. But I have watched lots of videos of it” and then proceeding to give the guy pointers is peak comedy. Keep it up.
@@davide.s.9880 I didn’t say that, I’m sure he could have done better but I’m not going to be the judge of that. However I have judged that saying “I don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s my advice” is objectively funny.
Just watched a Killian Bron run it was a reality I couldn't relate to. Thanks for posting this, I can somewhat relate to your planet.

It would be interesting if you edited your thoughts into this video. I'm curious if the cautious riders are frustrating?

Maybe you should do dancing, you don't have health for the mountains...
Y el final de esta carrera?
