"Stop. It's Hammertime!" Cue the parachute pant dance number!
Hammertime! I would love a new hammer! I do forging for my hembygdsförening and I "only" have a Hultafors hammer!
Thanks for the Opportunity Nils ⚒️ Hammertime 🔥 💥👌🏻☘️
Love your content) Hammertime)
Hammertime! Hammertime! Hammertime!
Really like the idea of drilling the pilot holes before punching. That would surely give this novice a lot more confidence in getting it straight and centered.
It makes it faster and easier to get the biscuit out too.
It's always fascinating to watch how different smiths approach the task of making a hammer.
Hammertime.
Don’t sell yourself short. You’re an extremely talented blacksmith! Credit for your skill is well deserved! Oh!! Hammertime!
I’ve hated the notion of a pilot hole for a long time. I have made many great hammers without a pilot. However, I have come to appreciate the idea lately. It gives more than a good chance of centering the eye. I also embrace hand forging. But I always do as much as possible under a powerhammer. Including punching the eye. I’m old. I’m mad. And I detest work that my tools can do for me. Nils just showed us excellent work!
Nils, I watch you from Russia and your videos help me in my blacksmiths way. I restore and use old Soviet hammers and your beautiful hammer could make my progress in forging faster. With respect from Russia. Hammertime)
any and all content from Nils is always appreciated!!!
There is nothing better than Hammertime in the morning
Stop. Hammertime! This was really enjoyable to watch, there's a zen to forging that just catches you up.
Nils, you are by far my favorite smith to watch. Everything from your techniques to the way you explain everything. It genuinely makes me excited to watch your “Hammertime” videos. 😅
I always like seeing you experiment with the new techniques. Thank you and "Hammertime".
Have been wanting to start forging for a while now, but haven't been able to convince my parents to allow me to start. If I won this give away, it would definitely help convince them to let me invest in some forging equipment. I think the work you do is excellent, keep up the good work! Hammertime.
Hammertime! Your videos have inspired me and a few mates to get into smithing, an Ögren hammer would be next level!
Great job on forging the hammer. We need a weekly HAMMERTIME! Would love to see a big hammer making convention take place with all the best hammer makers out there. It'd be a blast.
Just came across your channel, love the video style, and of course the blacksmithing! Looking forward to more! Hammertime
Very nice job, love the control you have with the power hammer, some might say, “It’s Hammertime”
Hey Nils i actually just started my blacksmith journey. It are videos like yours that fascinatet me and are the reason i started to want to become a blacksmith to begin with. So it would be a great honor to own one of your hand forged hammers.
Hammertime
Thanks from Germany^^
Greetings from Ireland. I am thinking of taking up blacksmithing as a hobby, I've done several blacksmithing jobs in the past, more out of necessity than just for fun. Something like this would inspire me to begin.
Go for it. I started 4 years ago and have now become good enough for people to pay for my work. I can't make a living out of it, but it sure is great to have people appreciate my work.
@@kristofferjrgensen696 Kind of what I was thinking about for the future.
Hi Mr. Ogren I just wanted to say that I love your content and ask for any recommendations you have for people starting off in smithing like myself also might it be hammertime?
I really enjoy your introductions to axe making with different techniques. Hammertime
Hammertime. Thanks for giving us a chance to win. I am making my forge now that I am retired from the Army and can stop moving around and have a workshop all to myself.
Nils, as always, thank you for sharing your techniques and talent with us. Your forging and hammertime are enjoyable to watch!
I love watching you at work. I'm hoping to start forging myself soon, I just need the resources. Hammertime!
Fantastic work as usual Nils, even before you mentioned it I was thinking “wow, clean lines and great symmetry”. Well Hammer-time is pretty much what smithing is, either hand held or mechanical, there is a hammer involved somewhere. These hammers are up there with the axes you make, all functional and all things of beauty.
I've never seen the pilot holes for the eye done like that, very cool! Hammertime!
Always enjoy watching you work. You never seem rushed which to me, is a mark of a truly skilled craftsman. Also Hammertime
Yep, I’d totally be down for a hand-tools only build. Bring it on! Beautiful work, by the way.
Hammertime 😮
Hey Nils Ogren! I’m an excited new smith with nothing but the passion for Viking culture, a particular interest in axes and, a willingness to learn. Your videos are PERFECT for getting me started. I would be honored if you picked me to receive your hammer, it would absolutely be my favorite tool from someone who has turned their passionate hobby into both a successful and entertaining brand. Thank you for the time you’ve put into these videos, you’re my go to CZcamsr for this content. Much love, Josh.
I cannot wait to have Hammertime with this hammer when i am forging an axe in the way you show.
great video as always nils. i have my own blacksmith that i started a few years ago whith my grandfathers old tools and anvil, i have been putting up making my first hammer for some time now but after watching your video i have decided that its time... hammertime
As much as I would love that hammer, I am just glad that you take time out and create this content sharing your hammertime with us so we can all learn.
Love the idea about the charcoal dust and the pilot holes. You're killing it dude.
Hammertime
Hello! I am new to blacksmithing and don’t have many tools or hammers just yet. I have been watching your videos for a while and have found them very relaxing and informative. That hammer is absolutely beautiful! Hammertime
I love your work. Very precise and professional. A joy to watch. And you were probably reading a lot of minds. For those of us who do not own a power hammer, it would be a real treat to see you craft one entirely with hand tools (belt & angle grinders allowed!).
“Hammertime”! This would be excellent I have just finished getting a forging set up on the cheap going to be forging tongs this weekend! A good hammer would be the best thing to happen to me this year!
Love watching you and many others forge hammers, tongs, knives, etc.. I'm just getting started and uh oh, STOP....... HAMMERTIME !!!!
I don't need a hammer-at-this-time so I'm sitting this one out. I don't really care what you make, so make what you need or want. It's just relaxing to watch the bright hot metal go darker and darker as you shape it it, and have the process repeat until "the thing" has emerged from it's hiding inside a basic shape. It was there all the time but it took flames and hammer strokes to lure it out. Same reason I watch Thorbjörn's channel.
It's always great to see a master craftsman in his element. Excellent work. Hammertime!
Hammertime!
Love the videos! It's gotten me interested in blacksmithing so I'm currently building myself a gas forge. I'm about halfway through the build process but I'm really excited and a hammer like that would be an excellent way to start smithing
Nils,
That hammer turned out nice, I'm not in the market for a new hammer yet, so I'll let somebody else win it. Thank you, for taking time to build, film, edit and post this video.
Hammertime. I would love to have this hammer. My wife and I have always had an interest in blacksmithing and want to learn more once we get moved.
Hammertime. Watching this video makes me want to forge myself another hammer. You can never have enough hammers or tongs.
Great hammer!
I've started forging some months ago, forging a hammer like this will also be a great goal for me, but before I need to improve much more.
Thanks for sharing
Hammertime
"Hammertime". That is a beautiful hammer and I'd love to have it. It looks perfect for the work I'd like to do but there is no way that I think I'd be able to make my own. Thank you for showing this and offering up this hammer.
I really love your videos.....hammer or axes....Would love to do mine, but don't have all the stuff yet nor the place for. Glad to see people like you keeping on telling the old art of handmade & forging of tools...Hammertime !👍
Nils,
Your skills are incredible. I envy your ability to craft such fine axes, and apparently hammers too.
Hammertime
It would be a great honour to use this hammer on one of the ocean going tugs i am captain on. Forging is something i started a year ago with forging a knife, but i would be very happy to forge at home as well when i retire after 50 years at sea, keep up the good hammertime work
Hammertime! Nice video on making the new hammer Nils! I am dabbling in casting and plan to use my casting furnace as a forge and a small vice/anvil to get started in forging small items. The hammer looks great and would be the perfect first hammer for anyone starting out. Keep up the good work Nils!
Started forging this month, bought a cheap furnace, a few tools, i love it so far !! Hammertime
Just started smithing. This beautifully crafted hammer would be an honour recieve. Well done 👌 Hammertime!!
Really cool hammer Nils! In the past 2 years i have grown a passion for forging but i do not have good enugh equipment. This hammer would help out alot, Thanks and Hammertime!
Your finishing is quite nice on the hammer head. Hammertime! Very nice craft.
Great video, Nils, and thank you, I've made hammers both ways and I think the pilot holes help keep things straight. Hammertime!
I'm always amazed how effortless this all looks. I've forged an axe recently, which is similar enough in some aspects, and it was freakin hard work. I would certainly appreciate that hammer for my own Hammertime :D
I love the holes drilled before going to Hammertime on that punch
Hammertime. I'm a newby, love to make something usable from chunk of metal. Thank you for your videos, really inspiring. Love watching you, Torbjörn Åhman and Rigoni Ironworks
I would be honored to have a Swedish style hammer made by a real Swede, for my next hammertime at the forge. Keep up the fantastic videos.
Always a great time to watch Hammertime with Nils Ögren ................. 🔨
Hammertime, hammertime, ham, ham, hammertime. Really enjoyed the video!
I started last year and even tough i do not have a real blacksmiths hammer i love the craft. i have lots to learn and looking forward for a good "Hammertime";)
It would be an honor for anyone to win this hammer and have some good old Hammertime with it... Seriously what a beauty
What a great piece. Well done. All I can say is Hammertime! I am indeen one of those who find themself in need of a new hammer.
Best of luck to everyone else. Cheers
I’m a beginner blacksmith that saved up enough to get a good rounding hammer but am still in need of a quality cross peen. Hammertime for the win!
”Hammertime” Hammaren skulle passa fint till min lilla amatörer smedja. Tack för en bra smidesfilm👍🏻
This hammer calls for googly eyes on the sides. Hammertime !
Hammertime! I love your videos and your forging. You are getting better each day. Good job!
Hammertime! I have just started setting up a forge to go with my leather shop and I hope to make my own hammer one day! Until then, yours will be greatly loved and cared for. And properly fed 🤣
I've been injured for a while but even if I don't win is about that HAMMERTIME again... I'll always hurt but my God given time here to create won't last forever!
It's a beautiful hammer, one day I hope to try my own hand at making one!
Great thing to do Nils! I am not in need of any hammers so I won't be entering. Very nice work
Hammer time!! *Commences baggy-pants dance moves.
For real though, since I first started watching your axe making videos I’ve coveted your hammer. I really like the proportions and the long pein. I’d love to see you make one of these with hand tools to make the process more accessible for me to attempt to make my own.
Love your work 👌🏽👌🏽
Nils I swear you make some of the prettiest hammers
HAMMERTIME!!
Hammertime! Nice video, beautiful hammer. I am a weekend blacksmith/bladesmith, and all my hammers are modified cheapo hammers. My most recent is a hardware store ball pean hammer, where I flattened, then twisted the hammer head, to create a diagonal pean. It's a little smaller than I would have liked, but it turned out great. It would be awesome to have a quality hammer so I hope I am the lucky one chosen.
Your hammers couldn't have turned out better. You can't get any closer to a Swedish cross peen hammertime than a Swedish guy forging a Swedish hammer. Great job and keep up the good work Nils!
Watching from Texas, really want to start smithing as a hobby and maybe turn it into a weekend craft show side gig. Hammertime
I think the last comment I made on one of your videos was something like "I love when I get a new axe-0making video" but honestly this is what I really want to see, tools and other useful/decorative every-day items. Hammers, tongs, punches, etc. I would love to see you create a full sized anvil someday!
What do you call it when your dad backs in to your garden trailer with his truck, pinching it between the bumper and a tree?
Torch & Hammertime!
It's a shame a hammer can't fix the paint...
Amazing looking hammer. They seem like they'd be a real pleasure to work with. Hammertime! Thanks so much Nils.
It's Hammertime! This was a sick build and I would love to win it.
I get pretty excited when you make hammers! This one is what I consider Hammertime, this is the nicest one in my humble opinion. 🙂
HAMMER TIME!!! Amazing work my friend!
It’s hammer time. I am from America and would like to start forging. This was a really good vid, keep them rolling, because I will need help.
Hi Nils! I just started my blacksmithing business this year called Silent Valley Limited Co, I have also just completed building my forge and have just started out forging for the first time and it would be an absolute dream of mine to use your hammer for my work! Thanks for the awesome videos! Hammertime
Excellent craftmanship, hammertime ftw!
It's hammertime! I need a hammer like this to start making stuff. It's a beauty.
Riktigt snygg hammare! Bra jobbat Nils! 🥰
What a clean keen hammer Nils,
Indeed Hammertime.
Thank you Nils. Beautiful hammer and appreciate the method. I would indeed appreciate a by hand hammer video if you're up for it! Hammertime!
Like always really nice crafmanship Nils. Always satisfing to watch the lump molde into a beautiful piece. Hammertime som den gamle MC sa.
Hello from Japan! One more captivating video, and a beautiful tool!
It's really difficult to get your hands on a good hammer when starting forging. I am struggling with a cheap, re-hardened one for too long...
It is time for a new hammer. It's Hammertime !
Good luck to everyone entering the giveaway!
Hammertime! As always, another beautiful piece. I really enjoy your videos, it's fun to see what you are going to create next.
I was just about to get into smithing. My favorite part is the Hammertime its so satisfying.
Thank you Nils. Always happy when you are uploading. You almost make this look easy. I won't enter the giveaway - I also think it'd be cool if someone who can use this to the fullest gets it. You have a good one.
Nicely done, thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. Regards from Down Under.
My name is Caleb Beers. I am a union general carpenter. I have a Martinez and ernerbrand hammer. I honestly don't know the use of tour hammer, but I would love to learn it's purpose and add it to my collection for I believe every tool has its own purpose. That's why I have a framing hammer, and a concrete hammer. Gotta give it up to "hammertime."
Just built my first forge, thus would look great hanging next to it, and I promise to say "Hammertime" every time I use it.
Love seeing new ways to do stuff! HAMMERTIME !
Really interesting the different shapes cultures have on their hammers Hammertime.
"Hammertime" for the entry.
The shape of the cross peen hammer is quite nice. I would gladly add this hammer to my working tools at shows.
Hi Nils, thank you for your videos. I recently started forging with my Son. Our first attempts were a lot of fun and we want to try to make some tongs next. We would really appreciate your awesome hammer for our shop. More hammertime to come 😅. Best wishes. Phil and Fabian
Hey You guys won the Hammer! Double check the pinned comment, to see that it's for real and then send me an email, and well take it from there /Nils
I am collecting tools to begin blacksmithing! Hammertime
Very nice work and something any smith would be proud to have at his anvil. Hammertime
