Got called out last month for not practicing enough. My nine year old nephew picked up a cube he found, collecting dust, and scrambled it without a heads up. I was put on the spot, having to solve it in front of my family, shamefully messing up every PLL. Enough embarrassment to get my act together and start practising again. The good news is it really is like riding a bike, after a single look on my cheat sheet my fingers did most of the work on auto pilot for most algs.
In the last month I learned cfop and have been taking care of my two kids. They keep me busy. My boy is two and my girl is about to be one in April. Kind of proud of myself for learning algs in the small windows of quiet time I can get. When my kiddos are a bit older, I plan on teaching them to cube.
This past month I've been traveling a lot, went on a school trip to Washington DC and now I'm visiting Canada!
Been babysitting my niece for the past month; lots of work!
Well...
- Went to Whitby with my family.
- Went to Nottingham with my brother to see Alestorm and bumped into the lead singer outside a noodle bar.
- Went to Huddersfield with my brass band to compete in the regional championships. Won. Also won the best percussion prize (I'm a percussionist).
- Tonight I'm going to Leeds see another of my favourite bands with my friend from school who I haven't seen for years.
(Yeah, I did quite a lot)
This month I have mostly been practicing guitar, working, looking after my kids and practicing beginner OLL & PLL. It's been busy 😊

Last month I made my own web app to track characters in a TTRPG game my friends and I are playing. It's been a lot of learning and a lot of fun! I also bought myself a decent 2x2 so I'm looking forward to improving on that and I've started a new acoustic duo with a friend!
Wow cubing is like the thing that gave me relax in the Last month

This past month I’ve been going to the gym more consistently. I am also proud to announce that I recently 100% completed the Outlast, Outlast Whistleblower, and Outlast 2 video games.
I have found a little more motivation this past couple days. I started to work out, and just generally try not to overthink stuff. I find it funny that I pick up cubing as a hobby due to me having a lot of problems that burden me and stuff I feel overwhelmed to solve. While the entire point of doing cube is to solve a random scramble of color and position.
Last month I learnt that I'm gonna be a father, so it's been a pretty emotional month adjusting my mind to it!
Pretty interesting month for me, got to travel for a couple weeks. It was pretty hot and humid, but it was fun
The past month has been very wintery like snowed-in for me tho that has turned into more time doing foreign language lessons (Swedish/Norwegian/Danish) so that's a plus, and it's finally warm enough to get some plants outside yaaay!
